에코페미니즘과 시적 상상력

이 논문은 생태주의와 여성주의가 갖는 친연성에 주목하고 에코페미니즘의 관점에서 시적 상상력을 규명하는 데 목적을 둔다. 생태주의와 여성주의는 이성과 남성 중심의 근대적 세계관에 대한 근본적인 문제제기이며, 그에 대한 대안적 성격을 지니고 있다. 진정한 생태시는 여성적 가치에 대한 존중을 담고 있고, 진정한 여성시는 대상과 언어에 대한 생태적인 관계를 맺고 있다. 이 논문에서는 먼저 1990년대 이후 한국 여성시인들 중에서 김혜순, 나희덕, 김선우의 시를 에코페미니즘의 관점에서 바라보고 시적 상상력의 양상을 비교 ․ 분석한다. 그에 이어 본인의 시작품을 에코페미니즘적 관점에서 분석하고 그동안의 창작시들을 본문으로 제시한다. 김혜순, 나희덕, 김혜순의 시는 자연과 인간의 순환적 질서 속에서 서로를 아우르며 공존의 삶을 지향한다는 점에서는 공통적이나 여성성과 생태적 특성을 구체적으로 드러내는 방식에 있어서는 서로 다른 상상력을 보여준다. 김혜순의 시는 몸이라는 매개를 통하여 낯선 이미지들을 병치시키면서 카니발적 상상력으로 세계에 대한 느낌을 거침없이 쏟아낸다. 이에 비해 나희덕의 시는 자연에 대한 관찰을 토대로 삶의 비의적 의미를 생태적 상상력으로 드러낸다. 김선우의 시는 여성성을 자연성으로 환치시키는 신화적 상상력으로 순환적 세계관을 보여준다. 본인의 시는 순환론적 세계관 속에서 자연과 어머니라는 시적 모티브가 중심을 이루며 이주 여성을 소재로 한 문화적 생태주의도 포함하고 있다. 이러한 대립과 죽음이 아닌 포용의 삶을 지향하는 생명의 원리를 지닌 여성성은 여성 문학의 근원이자, 새로운 시적 상상력의 모태라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 남성 중심적 가치관으로 입혀진 모성의 신화를 벗고 여성 스스로가 체득한 시쓰기를 모색한다는 것은 삶과 죽음, 남성과 여성, 인간과 자연을 포용하는 에코페미니즘적 인식에 그 바탕을 두고 있다고 하겠다.|ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine poetic imagination from an eco-feminist view with its focus on the connection between ecologism and feminism. Ecologism and feminism is fundamental raising of a question about modern world views of logocentrism and phallocentrism and has an alternative nature against them. True ecological poetry contains respect for feminine value and true feminist poetry forms ecological relations with objects and language. First of all, this study examined poems by Kim Hye-Sun, Na Hui-Deuk, and Kim Seon-Uh out of Korean women poets after the 1990s from an eco-feminist view and compared and analyzed them. Then the poetry work of this author was analyzed in an eco-feminist view and creative poems were presented in the text. Poems by Kim Hye-Sun, Na Hui-Deuk, and Kim Seon-Uh have similarity in the aspect of putting together each other in the cyclic order of nature and human beings and aiming at a life of coexistence, whereas they show some different imagination in the way of revealing femininity and ecological characteristics concretely. Poems by Kim Hye-Sun parallel strange images through the medium of a body and pour the feeling of world by the imagination of carnival. On the other hand, poems by Na Hui-Deuk reveals the esoteric meaning of life by ecological imagination based on her observation of nature. Poems by Kim Seon-Uh shows a cyclic world view by mythical imagination which changes femininity into nature. The poems of this author focus on the poetic motive of nature and mother in a cyclic world view and include cultural ecologism based on women migrants. Femininity of the principle of life aiming at the life of tolerance rather than confrontation and death may be the root of woman literature and the matrix of new poetic imagination. Therefore, throwing off the myth of maternity covered with male-centered values and exploring poem writing acquired by oneself must be based on eco-feminist awareness that tolerates life and death, male and female, and human beings and nature.
