Abstract
Background : This study was performed to investigated effect of sleep patterns, insomnia, stress, quality of life and physiological health.
Methods : The questionare were distributed to 51 shift workers. The questionare included question on: sleep patterns, insomnia, stress, quality of life and physiological health.
Results : There is no statistically significance between residents and medical boardmans in quality of sleep and cardiologic problems. But, statistically significance is exist in gastrointestinal disorder between residents and medical boardmans.
Also, in the scale of hospitals, there is no statistically significance in quality of sleep and cardiologic problem , but is statistically significance in gastrointestinal disorder. In the frequency of night duty, and the existence and nonexistence of marriage shows no statistically significance in all problem.
Conclusion: Investigated effect of sleep patterns in the emergency medical doctor on duty of night, there is no statistically significance. but statistically significance on gastrointestinal disorder. This result means that emergency medical doctor suffers from due to various kind of physical and emotional stress, and then effects on high incidence of cardiovascular diseases.
