J. S. Bach의 플루트 소나타 in E Major, BWV 1035의 분석연구

Abstract

J. S. Bach, a representative composer in Baroque period. Composed a lot of church music pieces and secular instrumental music pieces except operas. Most of Bach`s instrumental music were composed at that time. The purpose of the present paper was to find out the historical background and the musical feature of Baroque period, Baroque sonata, and the life of J.S. Bachand his flute sonata and to analyze flute sonata in E Major a typical church sonata. The details of the present study comprised the examination of forms, melody, harmony, rhythms, and composition techniques. The form was consist of four movements. The first movements adopts the 2- part form of "A-B", while the second movement uses the 3- part form of "A-B-A'" the third movement consist of 2- part invention, while the fourth movement has the 2- part form of "A-B" The theme melody and rhythm were transformed and developed throughout the movements. Mainly sequential upward, sequential downward were used. By using imitation, sequence, retrograde between flute and continuo, Bach displays relevancy through variation and development. Frequent modulation appeared throughout the movements that happened according to the relative key. The flute sonata BWV 1035 of Bach showed the transitional form of the later Baroque sonata to classic sonata.
