Abstract
Exhaustion of oil, coal and environmental problems are more important and global community take special note. Finally, the many countries come to an arrangement Kyoto protocol in Japan, Tokyo on December, 1997. By the Kyoto protocol, Korea must reduce greenhouse gas as CO₂, CH₄, N₂O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6 the standard of Emission Trading System. But Korea has no natural resources and imports 97% of the energy consumed domestically and Korea's industry and economy depend many fossil fuel.
Photovoltaic system adopted the latest technology that changes the unlimited natural resources and fossil fuel. However, solar energy will not be fully available during night time and even in the daytime if it is cloudy. Moreover, the generation cost is relatively high due to the low conversion efficiency of PV system. Therefore, it is necessary that high efficiency equipments and cost-effective system must be develop for wider use of the system. We should also seek to develop complex appliation systems for better efficiency of the generated electricity rather than sticking only to the PV system.
PV System on the type of roof shape can expect dual effects that reduce expenses for establishment of PV system by adding new function as outer covering material of building expect producing the electricity.
In case of PV there are many generation differences according to the exterior environmental facts. In this paper, we compared constitute factors of 3kW PV, operating characteristic and total system characteristic (utilization, generation efficiency, loss fact) and found out long time operating data using a watch instrumentations. By use of long time operating result, compare a totally operating characteristics, and we proposed a next building application of roof-integrated PV. Roof-integrated PV system that is proposed in this paper, was established in Solar Energy research center of Chosun University, composed with system. The objective of this paper, is to provide a efficient roor-integrated PV system through the considerations for the integration of PV system.
