- Abstract
- Objective : The author investigated changes of the persecutors in patients with schizophrenia and othe psychotic disorders with the vicissitude of the times.Methods : Date were collected from 15 papers(total : 2944 persons, Male : 1677, Female : 1267) about persecutors observed in Schizophrenia and other psychosis patients with persecutory delusion which were published between 1962 and 2004 in Korea. Persecutors were classified into 7 Classes : Class 1(unspecified or all person), Class 2(family, relatives), Class 3(neighbors, friends, fellows), Class 4(The communist, The Red-army, spy), Class 5(Secret agents, police, political character or army), Class 6(impersonal), Class 7(others). Papers were classified into 3 groups(A, B, C) by the times : group A(1945~1960), group B(1961~1992), group C(1993~2004). The author investigated the total frequency(%), tendency of changes, difference of frequency in each group of times(A, B, C).Results : 1) Class 1(25.35%) was the most common persecutor. 2) Class 2 and Class 6 showed the highest tendency of increase and Class 4 showed the highest tendency of decrease. 3) In comparison of group of times(A, B, C), Class 4 showed higher frequency in A times. Class 5 showed higher frequency in B times and Class 6 showed higher in C times. 4) In comparison between capital region and the country, Class 1 and Class 5 showed higher frequency in capital region and Class 6 showed higher frequency in the country. 5) In comparision by sex, Class 2 showed higher increasing tendency in female and Class 3 showed higher increasing tendency in male. Class 4, Class 5 show statistically available conspicious decreased results in C times in male.Conclusion : Persecutors of persecutory delusion in patients with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders vary by sex, regional position and have been changing with the vicissitude of the times.
