중국 역사문화거리의 사운드스케이프 평가요소에 관한 연구

Abstract

2021년 한해에만 소음으로 인한 민원은 전체 환경 민원의 총 201,000건 중 약 45%를 차지하였을 정도로 현대인들에게 있어 소음은 더 이상 방관의 대상이 아닌 현대 사회의 중대한 문제 중 하나라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 도시의 중요한 장소 중 하나인 역사문화거리를 사운드스케이프를 통해 이러한 소음 관련 문제를 효과적으로 해결하는 동시에 발전할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 먼저 역사문화거리의 소리 환경에 대한 조사에 따르면 거리의 역사문화적 가치가 있는 소리가 점차 사라지고 다양한 현대적인 소리와 소음으로 대체되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이로 인해 시각 경관과 청각 경관이 점차적으로 분할되고 지역의 역사문화적 분위기가 파괴되고 있다. 따라서 역사문화거리의 소리 환경을 보완하여 역사문화적 분위기로 조성하고 역사와 문화에 대한 사람들의 보호 욕구에 달성하고자 한다. 사운드스케이프 이론은 역사문화거리의 소리 환경에 존재한 문제를 효과적으로 해결하기 위한 방법이다. 사운드스케이프는 인간의 주관적 인식에서 출발하여 사회적, 문화적 요인이 사운드스케이프 평가에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 중점적으로 연구해야 한다. 사운드스케이프는 장소 내 자연 및 인문 환경의 중요한 구성요소이며 중요한 무형 문화재이다. 따라서 사운드스케이프 이론은 역사문화거리 보호의 이념과 일치해야 한다. 역사문화거리의 사운드스케이프를 보호하기 위한 전제 조건이다. 현재 사운드스케이프의 품질평가와 관련된 법률과 기준에는 환경의 조용함만을 중시하고 사람들의 주관적 부분을 배제하는 등 평가요소가 매우 단일적이다. 이러한 평가요소는 소리가 사회적, 역사문화적으로 안고 있는 문제점을 잘 드러낼 수 없다. 따라서 역사문화를 중심으로 사운드스케이프의 특징을 고려하여 주민과 관광객의 체험을 토대로 하여 사운드스케이프의 역사문화적 가치를 반영할 수 있는 평가요소의 도출할 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 보호 및 디자인을 효과적으로 이루어질 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유형별 역사문화거리의 사운드스케이프에 관한 평가요소를 도출하였다. 이러한 평가요소는 역사문화적 가치를 평가목표로 하며, 유형별 역사문화거리의 사운드스케이프 차이와 사람의 주관적 느낌을 고려하여 주관적인 부분과 객관적인 부분의 장점을 결합된 특징이 있다. 본 연구의 연구방법으로서 문헌 연구를 통해 역사문화거리와 사운드스케이프의 개념을 고찰하고, 역사문화거리와 사운드스케이프의 내적 관계 분석을 통해 역사와 문화를 중심으로 한 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 이론적 분석 틀을 도출하였다. 분석 틀의 내용은 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 4가지 유형(TC형, TR형, MC형, MR형), 역사문화의 내적 특성(역사와 문화의 사실성, 장소성, 지역성, 쾌적성) 등과 관련 요소의 특징을 포함한다. 사운드스케이프는 음원, 소리의 내용, 음원의 위치, 소리의 기능, 소리와 거리의 역사문화적 배경 등의 관계를 통해 역사와 문화의 사실성을 표현한다. 소리의 기능을 통해 소리가 주민과 관광객에게 미치는 영향, 소리와 거리의 기능 간의 관계, 소리와 거리의 역사문화적 배경 간의 관계, 소리와 거리의 자연과 지리적 환경 간의 관계, 소리와 거리의 주관적 환경 이미지 간의 관계 등을 장소성에서 알 수 있다. 사운드스케이프는 음원, 소리의 내용, 소리의 기능 등을 통해 지역성을 나타내며, 소리의 내용과 사람들의 심미와 가치관 간의 관계, 소리의 주관적 감지 강도와 장소의 기능과 간의 관계 등을 통해 쾌적성을 나타낸다. 문헌 연구를 통해 평가와 평가요소의 관련 내용을 고찰하였다. 조사를 통해 얻은 평가 구조는 평가 대상, 평가목표, 핵심요소 및 세부 평가요소로 구성하였다. 본 연구의 평가요소는 세부평가요소의 기초이며, 세부평가요소는 연구의 범위에 속하지 않는다. 평가요소가 도출되는 과정, 즉 '특징 분석-특징 선별과 정리-전형적 특징 추출' 등으로 설정하였다. 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 내용과 결합하여 역사문화적 가치를 평가목표로 삼아, 4가지 유형의 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프를 평가 대상으로 삼았으며, 역사와 문화의 사실성, 장소성, 지역성, 쾌적성 등을 핵심요소로 하였다. 유형별 사운드스케이프의 평가요소는 이들의 특징을 바탕으로 도출해야 한다. 유형별 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 전형적인 특징을 도출하기 위해 이론적 분석 틀을 기반으로 사례 분석 틀을 도출하였다. 현지 조사, 현장 설문조사 등의 방법과 사례분석 틀을 바탕으로 4가지 유형의 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 대표적인 사례를 분석하였다. 4가지 특성을 중심으로 한 사운드스케이프의 7가지 소리 중 가장 잘 표현되는 요소를 분석하여 소리 유형을 찾아내고, 잘 표현되는 요소의 수와 종류를 정리한다. 이후 같은 유형의 두 사례의 분석 결과를 토대로 종합하여 4가지 특성의 표현을 비교하고 해당 유형 사운드스케이프의 특성, 그리고 각 특성에서 잘 표현된 소리 유형과 요소를 도출한다. 이후 사례 분석 결과를 종합하여 4가지 유형 사운드스케이프의 특성을 도출한다. 그중 TC형과 TR형은 역사와 문화의 사실성, 장소적, 쾌적성 등이 뚜렷하며 MC형과 MR형은 4가지 특징이 모두 뚜렷해 보였다. 구체적으로 TC형은 인간활동 소리의 역사와 문화의 사실성이 잘 반영되었다. 각종 기계 소리와 인간활동 소리의 장소성이 뚜렷했으며, 인간활동의 음향적 쾌적성이 잘 반영되었다. TR형은 교통 소리, 지리적 소리, 인간활동 소리의 역사와 문화의 사실성 등과 각 유형 소리의 장소성이 잘 반영되었으며, 자연적 소리, 인간활동 소리의 쾌적성 또한 잘 반영되었다. MC형은 인문학적 활동의 소리 역사문화는 상당한 사실성을 가지고 있다. 모든 유형 소리의 장소성과 인간활동 소리의 지역성 모두 잘 반영되었다. 자연 소리, 인간활동 소리의 쾌적성이 또한 잘 반영되었다. MR형은 지리적인 소리와 역사적, 문화적 진위성 및 교통 소리, 지리적 소리, 생물 소리, 공연 소리, 상업활동 소리 등의 장소성 잘 반영되었다. 음악 소리, 상업활동 소리의 지역성과 공연 소리의 쾌적성이 잘 반영되었다. 마지막으로, 사례 분석 결과에 따라 유형별 사운드스케이프의 핵심요소를 다음과 같이 정리하였다. 일반적인 핵심평가지표는 역사와 문화적 사실성, 장소성, 지역성, 쾌적성으로 구성되고 해당 평가요소는 각각 21개, 37개, 9개, 9개이다. TC형과 TR형의 핵심요소는 역사와 문화의 사실성(H), 장소성(P), 쾌적성(C) 등이다. MC형과 MR형의 핵심요소는 역사와 문화의 사실성(H), 장소성(P), 지역성(R), 쾌적성(C) 등이다. 앞서 말한 유형별 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 핵심요소를 연계한 특징을 추상화하여 평가요소를 도출하였다. 이러한 도출과정을 통해 4가지 유형 총 19개의 평가요소를 얻었다. 이 중 핵심요소 H와 관련된 평가요소 3개, P와 관련된 평가요소 9개, C와 관련된 평가요소 5개가 있다. 유형별 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 독립 평가요소도 도출하였다. TC형 사운드스케이프의 평가요소 중 H와 관련된 요소 11개, P와 관련된 요소 16개, C와 관련된 요소 1개를 포함하여 28개이다. TR형 사운드스케이프의 평가요소는 26개이며, 그 중 H와 관련된 요소 8개, P와 관련된 요소 17개, C와 관련된 요소 1개이다. MC형 사운드스케이프의 평가요소 중 H와 관련된 요소 2개, P와 관련된 요소 13개, R과 관련된 요소 4개, C와 관련된 요소 0개를 포함하여 총 19개이다. MR형 사운드스케이프의 평가요소는 H와 관련된 요소 5개, P와 관련된 요소 13개, R과 관련된 요소 9개, C와 관련된 요소 1개를 포함하여 총 29개이다. 본 연구는 역사와 문화를 중심으로 한 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 개념을 분석하여 이론적 틀을 도출하고 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프 연구 분야의 깊이를 심화시키며 후속 연구를 위한 이론적 토대를 만들고자 하였다. 본 연구는 역사문화거리의 사운드스케이프를 세밀하게 분류하였다는 데 의의가 있으며, 유형에 따라 도출된 평가요소 체계는 지역 상황에 따라 적절한 평가요소를 선정하여 평가할 수 있고, 보호 및 설계에 관련된 지도를 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 개발한 역사문화를 목표로 하는 평가요소시스템은 소리, 사람과 환경의 관계 등 요소의 특징을 바탕으로 도출되었으며, 역사문화거리의 사운드스케이프의 역사문화적 가치를 직접적이고 효과적으로 얻을 수 있도록 한다.|A Study on Soundscape Evaluation Elements of Chinese Historical and Cultural Districts Ge, Bixiao Advisor : Prof. Moon, Jeong-Min Department of Interior Design, Graduate School of Chosun University In 2021, noise complaints accounted for about 45% of the total 201,000 environmental complaints, so noise is one of the major problems of modern society that can no longer be ignored. Therefore, this study aims to propose an effective way to solve these noise-related problems through the soundscape of a historical and cultural districts, which are the most important places in a city, while simultaneously developing it. Firstly, an investigation of the soundscape of the districts shows that the sounds with historical and cultural value are gradually disappearing and being replaced by various modern sounds and noises. This gradually divides the visual and auditory landscapes and destroys the historical and cultural atmosphere of the area. Therefore, I want to provide a supplement of the sound environment of the historical and cultural districts to create a historical and cultural atmosphere and achieve human's desire to protect history and culture. Soundscape theory is an effective way to solve the problems that exist in the acoustic environment of historical and cultural districts. It starts from human subjective perception of soundscape and focuses on how social and cultural factors affect soundscape evaluation. Soundscape is an important component of the natural and human environment of a place and an important intangible cultural heritage. Therefore, soundscape theory should be consistent with the ideology of protecting historical and cultural districts. This is a prerequisite for protecting the soundscape of historical and cultural districts. Currently, the laws and standards related to the quality assessment of soundscapes have a very single evaluation factor, which emphasizes only the quietness of the environment and excludes the subjective part of people. Therefore, it is necessary to derive evaluation factors that can reflect the historical and cultural value of the soundscape based on the experiences of residents and tourists, considering the characteristics of soundscape centered on history and culture. This will enable effective protection and design of the soundscape of historical and cultural districts. Therefore, this study derived evaluation factors for the soundscape of historical and cultural districts by different types. These evaluation factors are aimed at evaluating historical and cultural values, and are characterized by combining the advantages of subjective and objective parts in consideration of the differences in the soundscape of each type of historical and cultural districts and the subjective feelings of people. As a research method, this study examined the concepts of historical cultural districts and soundscapes through searching literature research, and derived a theoretical analysis framework of historical cultural districts soundscapes centered on history and culture through the analysis of the internal relationship between districts and soundscapes. The content of the analysis framework includes 4 types of soundscapes of historical and cultural districts (TC type, TR type, MC type, MR type), internal characteristics of historical culture (historical and cultural realism, place, regionality, and comfort), and characteristics of related factors. Soundscape expresses the realism through the relationship between sound source, sound content, location of sound source, function of sound, and historical and cultural background of sound and districts. Through the function of the sound, the effect of the sound on residents and tourists, the relationship between the function of the sound and the street, the relationship between the sound and the historical and cultural background of the districts, the relationship between the sound and the natural and geographical environment of the districts, and the relationship between the sound and the subjective environmental image of the districts can be understood from the sense of place. Soundscapes represent locality through sound sources, sound content, and sound functions, and comfort through the relationship between sound content and people's aesthetics and values, and the relationship between the subjective perceived intensity of sound and the function of place. I reviewed the relevant contents of evaluation and evaluation factors through literature research. The evaluation structure obtained through the research is composed of evaluation object, evaluation goal, core elements, and detailed evaluation elements. The evaluation factors in this study are the basis for the detailed evaluation factors, and the detailed evaluation factors are not within the scope of the study. The process of deriving the evaluation factors was set as 'feature analysis, feature selection and organization, and typical feature extraction'. Combined with the content of the soundscape, four types of soundscapes were selected as evaluation goals, focusing on historical and cultural values, with historical and cultural realism, place, region, and comfort as key factors. The evaluation factors of each type of soundscape should be derived based on their characteristics. Based on the theoretical analysis framework, a case analysis framework was developed to derive typical features of each type of soundscape of historical and cultural districts. Based on the analysis framework and methods such as field research and field surveys, representative cases of four types of soundscapes were analyzed. Among the seven sounds of the soundscapes centered on the four characteristics, the most expressive elements are analyzed to identify the sound types, and the number and types of expressive elements are summarized. Then, based on the analysis results of two cases of the same type, I synthesize them to compare the representation of the four characteristics and derive the characteristics of soundscapes of that type, and the sound types and elements that are well represented in each characteristic. The results of the case analysis are then synthesized to derive the characteristics of the four types of soundscapes. Among them, TC and TR types are characterized by historical and cultural realism, place, and comfort, while MC and MR types have all four characteristics. Specifically, TC type reflects the historical and cultural realism of human activity sounds. The place of various machine sounds and human activity sounds was clear, and the acoustic comfort of human activities was well reflected. The TR type reflected the placeness of each type of sound, such as traffic sounds, geographical sounds, and the realism of the history and culture of human activity sounds, and also reflected the comfort of natural sounds and human activity sounds. MC type has considerable realism in the history and culture of humanistic activities. Both the locality of all types of sounds and the regionality of human activity sounds are well reflected. The comfort of nature sounds and human activity sounds is also well reflected. MR type reflects geographical sounds, historical and cultural authenticity, and placeness of traffic sounds, geographical sounds, biological sounds, performance sounds, and commercial activities. Music and commercial sounds reflected the locality of commercial activities and the comfort of performance sounds. Finally, based on the results of the case analysis, I summarized the core elements of each type of soundscape. As follows, the core evaluation elements of generality consist of historical and cultural authenticity (H), locality (P), regionality (R), comfort (C), and the number of corresponding evaluation factors are 21, 37, 9, 9. The core elements of TC and TR are H, P and C. The core elements of MC and MR are H, P, R and C. The evaluation factors were derived by abstracting the features that connect the core elements of the soundscape of each type of historical and cultural street. Independent evaluation factors for each type of soundscape of historical and cultural districts were also derived. There are 28 evaluation factors for TC-type soundscapes, including 11 factors related to H, 16 factors related to P, and 1 factor related to C. The total number of evaluation factors is 28. There are 26 evaluation factors for TR-type soundscapes, including 8 factors related to H, 17 factors related to P, and 1 factor related to C. There are 19 evaluation factors for MC-type soundscapes, including 2 factors related to H, 13 factors related to P, 4 factors related to R, and 0 factors related to C. The total number of evaluation factors is 19. There are 29 evaluation factors for MR-type soundscapes, including 5 factors related to H, 13 factors related to P, 9 factors related to R, and 1 factor related to C. The total number of evaluation factors is 29. This study analyzed the concept of soundscape of historical and cultural districts centered on history and culture to derive a theoretical framework, deepen the depth of the field of soundscape in historical cultural districts, and created a theoretical foundation for further research. The significance of this study is that it classified the soundscape of historical and cultural districts in detail, and the evaluation factor system derived according to the types can be evaluated by selecting appropriate evaluation factors according to local conditions, and can provide guidance for protection and design. Therefore, the evaluation factor system aimed at historical culture developed in this study is derived based on the characteristics of factors such as, sound and the relationship between people and the environment, and can directly and effectively obtained the historical and cultural value of the soundscape of historical cultural districts.
