Abstract
A Survey of Teachers' Perception of the Causes of Infringement of Teachers' Rights Jang in-geun Advisor : Prof. Jung-won Lee Ph.D. Major in Mechanical Education Graduate School of Education, Chosun University This study attempted to investigate the actual state of teachers' perception of the cause of infringement of teaching authority and to explore this through qualitative research. Research questions were set as 'Did teachers experience a situation of infringement of teaching authority during their teaching life?''What do you think was the cause of the infringement of teaching authority?' and 'Thoughts on ways to reduce infringement of teaching authority'. A total of 4 people participated in the survey and the working experience and age group were diverse, and the research method was qualitative through in-depth interviews. As a result of the study derived through this, first, in the question of whether the teacher experienced the infringement of the teaching authority, 'the teacher experienced the infringement of the teaching authority by students, parents, and managers,' and said that the degree was serious. In the event of infringement of teaching authority, various coping methods appeared, such as enduring alone or following instructions after reporting to the student department, and the causes of the infringement of teaching authority were various. Second, in the question of what they thought was the cause of the infringement of teaching authority, they answered, 'The biggest cause is the family environment.' In various causes, first of all, it was found that there were many causes such as the environment of friends and students, the school atmosphere, and the class atmosphere. Third, the problem of thinking about ways to reduce infringement of teaching authority is that 'the government should prepare a support system for infringement of teaching authority'. He said that the country should provide support for teachers who are affected by such damage. The results derived based on these research results are as follows. First, teachers said that the biggest cause of infringement of teaching rights is the infringement of teaching rights by parents. The cause is that parents' thoughts have changed due to changes in society, he said. Second, teachers said that the second major cause of infringement of teaching rights was students. The biggest problem as the cause of students was the family environment. Third, the third highest cause of infringement of teaching rights was the infringement of teaching rights by managers. It was said that unfair instructions or bad habits were the cause of the manager. Based on the results of the study, we propose the protection of teachers' personal information, clear punishment for students infringing on their teaching rights, training for teachers and managers, and a system of support from the Office of Education or the government.
