Abstract
코로나 팬데믹 시대, 비대면·원격수업의 도구로서 ‘유튜브’는 다양한 유형의 교육 콘텐츠를 이용할 수 있는 플랫폼이다.
‘유튜브’의 콘텐츠를 활용하면 수업에 대한 학생들의 흥미를 유발할 수 있기 때문에 효과적인 교수·학습을 위한 플랫폼으로서의 가능성이 커지고 있다. 이러한 대내외적 환경과 교육적 필요성을 고려하여, 본 연구는 중등학교 음악 수업에서 우쿨렐레 교수·학습을 위한 ‘유튜브(YouTube) 콘텐츠’의 교육적 활용방안을 제시하는 데 있다.|The purpose of this study is to suggest the ways to use the YouTube contents easily accessible for Ukulele instruction and learning for the middle and high school students. The results of this study can be summarized as follows.
First, as a result of analyzing the music textbooks of middle and high schools amended in 2015, it was found that 25 pieces for Ukulele were carried on the 20 textbooks. Among them, the proportion of the 'popular songs' was highest. Secondly, as a result of the FGI, it was found that teachers were using the educational contents of the YouTube to help increase learners' interests. They also were referring to the YouTube Ukulele contents to enhance their instruction competence. Lastly, As a result of analyzing the Ukulele YouTube contents, it was possible to classify the Ukulele YouTube contents into performance contents and educational ones. Thus, it was possible to find the ways to use them pedagogically. This study suggests the following reform measures.
First, in order to surmount the limit of the piece trend of the 2015 amendment of middle and high school textbooks, it is necessary to refer to the trend pieces in current carried in the YouTube contents in relation to instruction and learning of Ukulele.
Secondly, in order to surmount the differences of the levels among students, it is deemed necessary to introduce the 'novice level' and 'advanced level' of contents to meet students' diversified needs.
Thirdly, it is also necessary to produce the students' performance video in short length to be uploaded onto the YouTube. Then, the students can share the video contents that can lead the further discussion with other users.
Fourthly, it is expected that such video data could be reorganized to be used for another educational or significant purposes. It is also expected that the students can practice the musical instruments outside of school, bringing up their self-initiated learning competence.
Lastly, it is expected that this study would be followed up by future studies that would verify the effects of the YouTube Ukulele contents and identify their problems for the students' self-initiated learning.
