Currently, the size of music competitions at home and abroad is growing as more students receive music education. In this regard, in this paper, we would like to examine the current status of domestic and foreign music competitions and to learn the educational effects of music competitions on the music education field. This study is mainly described through literature analysis and empirical research. First of all, we would like to examine experts' views on music competitions and academic views on them by utilizing various prior research, articles and materials, and analyze the domestic phenomenon of focusing on music competitions, as well as the effects and injuries of various music competitions.
Next, interviews and surveys were conducted for guidance teachers and parents of students who received music education using empirical analysis methods to look at their views on music competitions. The content of the study is to find out the educational effects of music education's teaching methods and needs, and to investigate how they differ depending on the desired competitions and awards. The results of this study show that firstly, Korean winners of international competitions have a positive impact on Korean music education. Second, the experience of participating in music competitions has been shown to affect the sense of accomplishment and musical growth of teenagers.
