Music is a reconstruction of sound that pursues beauty using materials as sound and can express one's emotions. Music includes Western music, Korean traditional music In the course of music education, the term "traditional music" is used as a general expression of the category of traditional music.
Because Korean music contains the history and emotion of our nation's people, learning our music is an important learning as a tradition of Korean music.
In this thesis, we examined the direction of changed Korean music education through comparative analysis of music and curriculum of 2015 and 2009 curriculum. To investigate the use of music textbooks in Gwangju and Naju, the distribution of 14 music textbooks was investigated. The survey was conducted in Gwangju and Naju. FX Gwangju area was the whole of the middle school, and Jeonnam area was limited to the Naju area where the researchers were doing post - school lessons considering the usability of data collection. As a result, the survey results showed that 12 kinds of textbooks were used in 14 kinds of music textbooks. The textbooks with high frequency of use were divided into 8 kinds such as Kyohak, Geumsung Publishing Co., and Donga Publishing Co., Ltd. In addition, 575 songs were recorded in the music textbooks, and the proportion of gugak music is 235, representing more than 40% in each textbook.
Among the music textbooks, the textbooks in which the classical music area is most frequently appear are Jihak (46%). Followed by 43.7% of Kum Sung Publishing Co., 43.3% of Mirae-n Co., 42.6% of Kyohak Co., 42.6% of 41.9% Dongapublishing Co., According to the contents and performance criteria of music and curriculum, the contents of music contents of 8 kinds of analyzed music are analyzed by 55.3% in the expression area, 23.0% in the appreciation area, 21.7% in the living shoes area, And when we look at the classification of music textbooks by Korean music category, expression area occupies the highest ratio. It can be seen that the contents of Korean music in music textbooks are not distributed evenly in proportion, but are concentrated in expression area.
As shown in the results of this study, it is necessary to reduce the variation of the proportion of Korean music among the music pieces of music textbooks for efficient Korean classical music education. Also, by developing diverse and effective teaching methods and materials for Korean traditional music, students should be able to experience Korean music even in their daily life.
Based on this research, I hope that the direction of Korean classical music education, diversity of teaching materials and teaching method of contents area of Korean classical music will be helped to develop into better music class.
