아르방 트럼펫 교본 분석 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 트럼펫 교본으로 대표적인 Arban’s Complete Conservatory method for Trumpet에 대한 분석이다. 먼저 국내 트럼펫 교본의 현황에 대해 조사한다. 그리고 트럼펫을 전공한 학사 학위 이상을 소지한 전문가를 대상으로 델파이 조사를 진행한다. 즉, 트럼펫 교본을 선정하는 기준과 트럼펫 학습 내용을 선정하고, 학습 내용에 따른 초급, 중급, 고급 학습자를 구분한다. 조사의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내에서 출판되고 있는 트럼펫 교본의 6종 중 5종이 번역된 교본이다. 교본마다 연주법을 지칭하는 용어와 학습내용이 달랐다. 둘째, 트럼펫 전문가들은 교본을 선정할 때 ‘연주법에 대한 설명’, ‘학습 내용’, ‘피아노 반주 악보가 있는 연습곡’을 기준으로 삼는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 트럼펫 학습 내용으로 ‘트럼펫 구조와 명칭’, ‘악기 관리법’, ‘더블 텅잉’, ‘싱글 텅잉’, ‘페달톤’, ‘트리플 텅잉’, ‘플라토 텅잉’, ‘꾸밈음’, ‘장음계’, ‘반음계’, ‘단음계’, ‘싱코페이션’, ‘슬러’, ‘트릴’, ‘도약’, ‘카덴차’, ‘연습곡’, ‘조옮김’, ‘변형운지’, ‘음역’, ‘롱톤’의 21개 항목에서 전문가들이 합의점을 찾았다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 학습 내용을 기준으로 학습자를 분류할 때, 초급 학습자는 9개의 항목, 중급 학습자는 14개의 항목, 고급 학습자는 19개의 항목에서 전문가들의 합의를 알 수 있었다. 이러한 조사 결과를 토대로, 아르방 트럼펫 교본을 분석하고 원서와 번역본을 비교 분석 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아르방 트럼펫 교본은 3가지 교본 선정 기준을 모두 충족하였으며, 학습 내용은 중급 학습자에게 적합하다. 둘째, 국내 번역본은 영어판 원서의 구성을 충분히 반영하지 않는다. 11가지의 차이점을 찾아 볼 수 있었으며, 그 중 4가지는 국내 번역판과 일본어판 원서가 동일하게 구성되어 있다. 셋째, 번역본에서는 편집자와 주석자의 정보를 알 수 없으며, 잘못 표기된 부분이 있다. 이와 같이 본 연구에서는 델파이 조사 결과를 바탕으로 교본을 분석 하였다. 그러나 향후 국내에서도 미국 ASTA 현악 교육과정과 같이 금관악기 교육과정의 기준이 요구된다. 학습자 분류에 있어서도 더욱 체계적이고 명확한 기준이 필요하다. 또한 국외 교본을 번역하여 출간할 때는 학습자들에게 원서의 내용을 정확하게 전달할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 더불어 학습자의 다양한 수준과 특성을 고려한 교본 개발이 요구된다. 마지막으로 이 연구를 통해 시대의 흐름에 맞춘 트럼펫 교본 발전의 초석이 되고, 국내 트럼펫 교육의 향상을 도모할 수 있기를 바란다.|This study is an analysis on the Arban’s complete conservatory method for trumpet, a representative trumpet textbook. First, this study investigated current state of trumpet textbooks in Korea. And it conducted a Delphi survey targeting trumpet experts with a degree more than a bachelor degree majoring trumpet. That is, this study set the criteria for selecting trumpet textbooks and selected the trumpet learning contents, and then classified learners as beginners, intermediates and advanced ones according to learning contents. The results of survey were as follows. First, of 6 kinds of trumpet textbooks being published in Korea, 5 kinds were translated textbooks. The terms referring a playing technique and learning contents were different every kind of textbook. Second, it could identify that trumpet experts selected a textbook based on ‘explanation of playing technique’, ‘learning content’, and ‘etudes with the score of piano accompaniment’. Third, it could identify that trumpet experts reached the agreement at the 21 items including ‘Trumpet’s structure and terms’, ‘Instrument Management Method’, ‘Double Tonguing’, ‘Single Tonguing’, ‘Pedal Tone’, ‘Tripple Tonguing’, ‘Flutter Tonguing’, ‘Ornament’, ‘Syncopation’, ‘Major scales’, ‘Chromatic Scales’, ‘Minor scales’, ‘Slur’, ‘Trill’, ‘Intervals’, ‘Cadenzas’, ‘Etude’, ‘Transposition’, ‘Alternative fingerings’, ‘Range’, and ’Long tone’. Fourth, it could identify that experts reached agreement at the 9 items for beginners, at the 14 items for intermediate learners and at the 19 items for advanced learners at classifying learners based on learning contents. Based on the results of survey, this study analyzed the Arban’s trumpet and comparatively analyzed its original version with its translated version. The findings of this study were as follows. First, the textbook, Arban’s complete conservatory method for trumpet were met the three criteria for selecting a textbook, and its learning contents were suitable for intermediate learners. Second, its Korean translated version did not fully reflect the composition of its English original version. Total 11 differences were found in the Korean version from the original version, and of them, 4 differences were same composed in Korean translated version and Japanese version. Third, its Korean translated version did not have the information about editor and commentator, and had some incorrectly written. Like that, this study analyzed trumpet textbooks based on the results of delphi survey. In the future, however, it will be requested some standards for brass instrument curriculum in Korea like the ASTA string instrument curriculum in the U.S.A. In classifying learners, it needs more systematic, clear standards. Additionally, at translating and publishing foreign-languaged textbooks in Korea, translated books should clearly deliver the contents in original textbooks. Besides, it is required to develop trumpet textbooks considering learners’ various learning levels and characteristics. Lastly, it is hoped that this study will be a foundation in developing trumpet textbooks keeping up with the trends, and will be contributed in advancing the trumpet education in Korea.
