Our life is surrounded by colors. All the surrounding phenomenons are comprised of colors. The color experience in childhood is very important because color feelings can be largely influenced by childhood experiences. It is still limited for children to directly express their thinking in language. Therefore, they have a strong tendency to express it with colors. Their personally preferred or unfavorite colors can be different depending on how colors are accepted or their personal environment. That is why each person expresses different feelings from the same color. Children is the main agent expressing to drawings without being influenced by the color preference.
The objective of this study is to suggest the teaching/learning measures for color art lessons after understanding the concept of color. The suggested instruction measures can understand children's psychological state and tendency through colors used for free drawing lesson using their preferred colors. The effects of the lesson are like below.

1. Through the color expression activities, the psychological anxiety or pain can be reduced while emotion can be stabilized.
2. Children's internal psychological state can be understood by analyzing colors.
3. Through art education, aesthetic sensitivity and creativity can be developed.

As every human has clear color preference, his/her own feeling and emotion is expressed in the process of expressing drawings. Even though it is hard to conclude that the color frequently used is the color preferred, they have their own perspective on colors, which is the image influenced by their living environment and personality. For children's correct mental health, their emotion should be understood in the future.
