Relationship between the Participation Satisfaction and
Sociability Development of Practical Dance

The purpose of this study was to clarify the influence relationship between participation satisfaction and sociability development for practical dance. It was judged that the achievement of study purpose would contribute to the increase of educational value of practical dance in the future. The study participants included 203 middle school students of G city participating in practical dance in 2016. A survey questionnaire was used as a research tool for analysis and the appropriateness of collected data was secured by verifying its reliability and validity. The following results were obtained through the analysis that met the study purpose.
First, the results of the difference in participation satisfaction and sociability development according to individual characteristics demonstrated that female participants had higher physical, psychological, and social satisfaction, sociability and cooperation, as well as the sociability of volunteering. As for the difference according to participation types, the groups of street dance and belly dance mostly had a higher sociability than jazz and TV broadcasting dance groups. Finally, the analysis results of difference according to participation period showed that the variables of participation satisfaction and sociability development had a higher perception for longer participation period.
Second, the psychological satisfaction of participation satisfaction with practical dance had a significant influence on responsibility and sociability while social satisfaction had a negatively (-) significant influence on sociability. Also, physical satisfaction was confirmed to be positive for sociability, cooperation, and volunteering.
