The Effects of Preparation of Lessons using Reading-Aloud on Low Achievement Student’s Korean Academic Achievements and Learning Attitudes

This study aimed to analyze the loudly-reading preview activity's influence on the low-achievement students' academic achievement and learning attitudes and to identify the participating students' responses in the class. The research target was composed low-achievement 16 students for the experiment group, and other low-achievement 15 students for the control group. The all participating students were in the 2nd-grade in S elementary school in City M. This study conducted the independent t-test for identify their academic achievement levels before the experiment, and conducted the paired t-test for identify the changes in students' learning attitudes after the experiment.
Summary the results of this study is as follows. First, the loudly-reading preview activity didn't statistically significant differences in improving the academic achievement for low-achievement students in the 2nd-grade of elementary school.
Second, the loudly-reading preview activity was effective in improving the participants' learning attitude toward Korean, and the participants participated in their class through active presentations.
From this conclusion, this study expects that loudly-reading preview activity had some positive effects on improving the low-achievement students' learning attitudes, and if the loudly-reading preview activity be introduced to low-achievement students and be utilized well, it will produce positive influences on the learning.
