The current study aims at offering pragmatic information that helps to enhance service satisfaction of golfers and their quality of life by investigating the impact of immersion in exercise and exercise addiction on happiness among golfers. In an attempt to achieve the goal, a survey of 514 people aged 30 and older on the immersion in exercise, exercise addiction and happiness was conducted. The results of statistical analysis are outlined as follows.

To begin with, the analysis of the degree of immersion in exercise and exercise addiction showed that the number of male respondents who fell into categories of ‘immersion in exercise’ and ‘out of free will’, a subfactor, were higher than that of female respondents, and that in ‘withdrawal symptoms’ of ‘exercise addiction’, the number of men were also higher than that of women. In terms of age, the percentage of those in their 30s in ‘immersion in excercise’ were greater than that of those in their 40s and above while those in their 50s showed the most noticeable difference in all categories of ‘excercise addiction.’ As for the number of years of experience with ‘immersion in exercise’, the number of those who have less than 1 year of experience was higher than that of those having more than 1 year whereas there were salient differences in each section of the years of experience with exercise addiction.

Second, it was confirmed that there was an exceptionally high correlation between the immersion in exercise and the level of happiness, and that the relationship between exercise addiction and happiness was also remarkable.

Third, it is worth noting that in terms of the immersion in exercise and happiness, the top 25% of those surveyed said they were happy in the overall categories of happiness and its subfactors. Compare that to 25% of the bottom in the same section.

Lastly, it was also found that the percentage of both those in the top and the bottom were 25%, respectively, when it comes to the relationship between exercise addiction and happiness.
