Abstract
This study what follow-up study about Kim and Lee(2010) is on applying performance assessment to vocation in basic curriculum for special school. For this, the following two questions are presented.
First, what is procedures(ease of construction, scoring efficiency, content validity) the performance assessment of vocation in basic curriculum for special school?
Second, what is results(inter-rater reliability, ease of utilization, quality of feedback) on performance assessment of vocation in basic curriculum for special school?
The following methods and procedures were used to conduct this study.
① Analysis of the related literature and documents including the vocation in basic curriculum for special school.
② Developing workbooks for assessment according to the basic curriculum for special school.
③ Developing assessment standards(rubric) according to the basic curriculum for special school.
④ Developing of exemplary assessment instruments which are based assessment standards(rubric).
⑤ Proving the validity of assessment standards(rubric)and exemplary by teacher who has been taught vocation in special school.
There results were as follows:
First, this study is identified in procedures on performance assessment of vocation in basic curriculum for special school. As a result, it was found that there was low figure in ease of construction, but that there were high figures in scoring efficiency and content validity in procedures. Second, this study is identified in results on performance assessment of vocation in basic curriculum for special school. As a result, it was found that there were high figures in inter-rater reliability, ease of utilization and quality of feedback in results.
There were significant differences between this study and the study of Kim and Lee(2010) as follows:
First, This study is considered the assignment of parts of vocation and characteristic of special children. Seconde, It recast basic curriculum for special school already as workbooks for assessment for efficiency. Third, This study what proceeding to choose special children who similar MR(Mental Retardation) is that assessed students based on individual learning and to provide is quality of feedback high.
