The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the referee’s decision on performances of volleyball players. With a population consisting of volleyball players in seventeen middle schools of the five areas, who are registered in the Korea Volleyball Association as of 2008, self-administrated method was used for sampling and thus the data of a total of 200 students were actually used for and analysis. For data analysis, this study conducted descriptive statistics, one way ANOVA, Tukey HSD, Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis. The One Way ANOVA results were as follows. First, the effect of the referee’s decision by area, number of volleyball games, and player’s career indicated that the fairness, consistency, and reliability have had a strong inference on performances of volleyball players. Second, the effect of the referee’s decision by position indicated that the fairness and reliability have had a weak inference on performances of volleyball players. The result of Correlation Analysis indicated that the fairness, quickness, consistency, reliability, and games management have had a similar inference on the effect of the referee’s decision on performances of volleyball players. As, the game management by the result of Regression Analysis have had a similar influence on the all factor. However, the game influence of referees didn’t indicate a visible change on the all factor.
