- In this thesis, we consider some difficulties in teaching negative numbers, and find the effective methods for it. We also research on necessities, and merits and demerits of intuitive method and formal method.
Finally we survey methods of teaching negative numbers and present a model of the lecture that introduces negative numbers to the first graders of junior high schools.
