사이버공간에서 청소년의 긍정적인 정체성 형성을 위한 홀리스틱 교육이론의 적용에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study has questioned the confusion of forming a identity of the youth who live in the information society and has proposed to adopt Holistic Education Theory in school to form a positive self identity of youth. It is one of the most important duties to explore and form a sound self identity of the youth, so schooling should concern the process of forming their identity more than knowledge education. First, through this study I'd like to inquire into a behavior patterns of the youth and their awareness in cyber space. Also, I propose a new paradigm, Holistic Education Theory, which states that schooling needs to be concerned with the processes of identity constitution of students positively and directly. Finally, I try to apply Holistic Education Theory to schooling in practical way through developing teaching-learning model of a computer class. Therefore, this thesis will propose to connect Information and Computer Curriculum with forming a identity of the youth, and apply Holistic Education Theory in an introductory computer class to form a positive identity of the youth in cyber space. The importance of positive new media education is emphasized to form a desirable identity of the youth but the present computer science curriculum focuses on only skill utilization ability not information ethics education. That's why I demand a connectedness and holistic approach of Holistic Education Theory in information and computer science curriculum through this study. The youth constituted through new media have imaginary, decentered and multiple identity. It needs to transform instrumental school environment into reflective one to copy with in this situation. This study insists that the school ― especially, Information and computer science curriculum ― needs to be concerned with the processes of identity constitution of students in cyber space.
