- Abstract
- To cultivate people who can cope actively with 21th century society of knowledge and information and can handle the information demanded by the society in future, the formal education curriculum is being gradually reinforced. Since the computer science is being rapidly updated by the rapidly changing contents of the computer science, it is necessary to quickly understand and absorb the contents, meeting the needs of the present time and high technology for the teaching.
The research which it sees Gwangju wide area hour, the Jeollanam-do area it examined the actual condition and a problem point of computer curriculum in the general total high school in the center and the difference of the attitude regarding the computer education of the teachers who take charge of a computer education analyzed and it probably is, to sleep it did.
The collection of data for the research which it sees distribution frequency did Gwangju wide area hour education Chung and the teacher who takes charge of in general total high school 107 person computers the Jeollanam-do education Chung within the jurisdiction in the object.
First, the teachers with minor certificate showed much higher percentage of 48.9% than 51.4% shown by the teachers with major certificate. This means that the teachers with minor certificate conducts the most of the computer education.
Second, 'Experience in using the Computer and Ability to use it', 'Teaching Method', 'Constraints in Teaching Students', the teachers with major certificate showed a significant difference compared to the teachers with minor certificate indicating that the teachers with minor certificate should work harder to improve their special expertise in the computer science.
Third, the item 'Continuous Self-Development' showed no difference depending on the major or minor. This indicates that, to make up for their shortcoming, the teachers with minor certificate work as hard as the teachers with major certificate. In this regard, schools and the related education authorities should pay more attention and provide the support.
Fourth, the computer teachers of most were the other subject teacher cross-beam and to have a more business charge and the support to be negligent in the reasoning being caused by subject map in order not to be, it will have to put the school electric computer anger business charge specialty necessary personnel, or, it must secure, it will know the specialty teacher the possibility which it was.
Regarding administration of the current training course for teachers with minor certificate, more specialized training, expansion of training opportunity, more long-term training courses, minor certification program that can be applied to school curriculum, and more practical training courses are needed, reflecting more demand for improvement of the Minor Training Course System.
