농촌지역 고등학생의 성격특성이 정신건강에 미치는 영향: 성별차이를 중심으로

Abstract

Through the study on the relationship between personality characteristics and mental health of high school students in rural areas, this study was intended to analyze how each personality trait affects mental health and how it differs according to gender to prepare a deep understanding of high school students' mental health and effective counseling strategy. To this end, we analyzed data collected from first-year students of humanities high schools in B County, South Jeolla Province, using the LCSI personality test and the PAI-A test to find out the difference in the impact of personality characteristics on the mental health of high school students in rural areas and analyze the impact of personality characteristics on each mental health. The results showed that the mental health of high school students in rural areas was worse than that of high school students nationwide, and an analysis of their gender-based mental health showed that male and female groups were vulnerable to different mental health problems. It was also shown that personality traits affect different mental health depending on gender. In addition to a prior study of the mental health seriousness of high school students in rural areas and mental health problems based on gender and personality characteristics, this provides a meaningful basis for preparing counseling strategies differentiated from community youth counseling systems in terms of regional characteristics, gender and personality characteristics of high school students in rural areas by analyzing the interactions of each element.
