신체이미지 희생경험이 여대생의 이상섭식행동에 미치는 영향: 수동적 소셜미디어 활동의 매개효과

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the casual effect of abnormal eating behavior related body image victimization experience, and the mediating effect of passive social media activities on the relation between these two variables.
For this purpose, 449 female university students in G city were sampled. Self report questionnaires, The Korean version of eating attitude test-26(KEAT: 26), body image victimization experiences scale(BIVES) and social grooming scale, physical appearance comparison scale(PACS), specific attributes comparison scale(SACS) were conducted on this sample and statistical analysis were performed with this data using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0.
The results of the study can be summarized as follows.
First, in the correlation analysis, significant positive correlation(.361) were found between intolerance of body image victimization experience and abnormal eating behavior. and significant positive correlation were found between passive social media activities and body image victimization experience(.319) and passive social media activities and abnormal eating behavior(.470).
Second, in the SEM(Structural Equational Modeling) analysis, mediating effect of passive social media activities on the relation between body image victimization experience and abnormal eating behavior were found.
Thus, it was confirmed that body image victimization experience a has the directly significant effects on an abnormal eating behavior, and even indirectly significant effects through the mediating variable passive social media activities.
It can be said that the results of the study would help in having a broader understanding about the mechanisms of an eating disorder. This means that passive social media activities gives an effect as an mediating factor in treating an abnormal eating behavior. In other words, These results show the importance of digital literacy education related to social media activities that help treat and prevent eating disorders.
