아동용 가구의 유형별 디자인 특성에 관한 연구

Abstract

아이는 한 가정의 미래이며, 한 나라의 미래이다. 부모들은 아이들에게 많은 관심과 애정을 갖으며, 이런 아이들은 건강하게 자라 인재가 되기를 바란다. 국내 아동 관련시장은 출산율 저하라는 사회적인 문제에도 불구하고, 꾸준히 발전하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 맞벌이로 인한 소득증가와 부모가 자녀에 대한 관심의 증가로 볼 수 있다. 이로 인해 아동용가구의 필요성은 높아지고 있다. 시대에 흐름에 따라 아동용가구의 유형별과 특성은 변모하여 왔다. 무엇보다도 아동용가구를 선택하는 데에 있어서 안정성이 중요하다. 현재는 안전성을 바탕으로 더 많은 것을 요구한다. 아직까지 아이들의 심리와 신체 변화에 따른 가구의 일반적인 요소와 아동용가구디자인특성이 상호 작용을 하지 못하는 실정이다. 이에 따라, 본 연구자의 연구 목적은 유형별로 다양한 아동가구를 분석하며 아이들에게 상상력, 창의력, 올바른 자세, 생활습관 등을 키우는데 도움이 될 수 있는 아동용가구를 탐구하는 것이다. 또한 본 연구는 아동용가구에 대한 아동심리학, 인체공학, 디자인요소, 디자인특성 등 시점에서 출발하여 아동에게 아동용가구의 중요성을 인식하고, 아동의 건강하게 심신성장, 지적 발달, 인지적 발달, 창의력, 상상력, 올바른 습관 등이 증진하기 위해 국내에 있는 5개 아동용가구 브랜드를 세분화 하고 조사하였으며, 아동용가구의 특성을 파악하고 유형을 분리하여, 이를 아동의 심리적이나 신체적 특성의 관점에서 분석하였다. 본 연구 대상은 아동을 중심으로 초점을 맞춰 아동용 가구 유형별 디자인의 특성에 대한 연구를 하였다. 아동 가구의 적용된 디자인 요소를 기준으로 분석하고 검증하는 것이다. 자녀가 태어나고 성장함에 따라 그에 맞는 가구를 소비하게 되고 성인이 되기 전에 아동의 주거환경에 맞는 아동가구를 세분화된 연령과 다양한 디자인, 성별에 맞는 컨셉을 고려하고 분석하였다. 연구는 첫째, 문헌고찰을 통해 아동에 대한 범위와 정의 특성을 이해하고 다음으로 ,아동의 이론적인 고찰부분에 대해서는 연구논문, 학회지 등을 통해서 파악할 수 있다. 아동학에 관련된 연구는 그 시기와 내용에 있어서 많은 연구 활동이 있어왔으므로 많은 부분 기존의 이론과 데이터를 참고 하였다. 아동의 학습에 관련된 부분보다는 학습의 단계이지만 그 방법론으로 차이가 있는 교육환경적인 측면에서 발달과정과 연관 지어 많은 부분 연구에 포함시켰다. 둘째, 아동용가구를 바탕으로 가구의 정의, 역할을 파악하고 아동가구는 생활공간과 더불어 불편 없이 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 디자인 계획을 알려져 있다. 아동가구 유형별에 따라 학습 공간, 정리 공간, 오락 공간, 휴식 공간 등을 다 기능적 측면에서 아동들에게 성격과 품격, 성장과 품성을 갖추어 주는데 큰 영향을 제시하였다. 셋째, 아동에 대한 교육, 놀이, 발달행동 등을 통해 아동용가구에 있어 필요한 개념과 기능적이고 효율적인 측면을 접목하여 적합한 아동용가구의 디자인을 살펴보도록 한다. 우선 기능, 형태, 색채, 재료 규격인 측면에서 필요로 하는 제품의 개념과 사용되는 공간과 연하여 제품을 구성하고 아동의 행동양식과 환경을 반하여 여러 가지 주어진 환경 하에서 다양하게 적용을 검토하였다. 넷째, 본 연구에서는 선정된 한국 국내 아동가구제품을 위주로 디자인 기본요소 중에서 재료, 형태, 색채, 규격 등을 통해서 한국 사례를 조사하고 분석하였다. 다섯째, 분석 종합으로 국내 아동가구브랜드의 비교분석을 통해 아이들의 심리와 신체 변화에 따라 아동의 생활패턴 과정에 아동들이 건강하게 성장하기 위한 연구방향성을 제시할 것이다.|Children are the future of a family and the future of a country. Parents have a lot of interest and affection for their children, and they hope that these children grow healthy to be qualified human resources. The domestic children’s market is steadily growing despite the social problems of low birthrate. This phenomenon can be seen as an increase in income due to increased number of dual income families and high interest of in the children. As a result, demand of children's furniture is increasing. As time has passed, the types and characteristics of children's furniture have changed. The most important factor in choosing children's furniture is safety. At present, something more is required based on the safety. So far, the general elements of furniture according to the changes in psychology and body development of children and children's furniture design characteristics have not been fully integrated. Accordingly, this study tires to analyze various children's furniture by type and to develop children's furniture that can help children develop imagination, creativity, correct posture, and good habits. In addition, this study started from the point of view such as child psychology, ergonomics, design factor and design characteristics of children 's furniture, recognized the importance of children's furniture, reviewed five children’s furniture brands in Korea to promote the healthy growth of children, intellectual development, cognitive development, creativity, imagination, and correct habits, identified characteristics of children’s furniture, classified typology and analyzed them in terms of psychological and physical characteristics of children. This study focused on children and studied the characteristics of design of each type of children's furniture. The purpose of this study is to analyzes and to verify children’s furniture based on the designs elements applied to children's furniture. As children are born and grow up, they consume furniture according to their age. It is tried to consider and analyze the concepts matching with their segmented age and gender which suits for the residential environments of children before they become adults. First, it was tried to understand the scope and definition characteristics of children through literature review. Theoretical review on children was made through papers and journals of the academic society. Since many researches in the child studies have been made in terms of time and contents, existing theories and data have been referred. Many parts relating with development process in the educational environments are included in the study rather than the things related to learning of children. Second, it was tried to identify the definition and role of furniture based on the children’s furniture. The design for children furniture should be planned to be used conveniently in life. The functional aspects of the study space, arrangement space, amusement space and resting space have great influence on the characteristics, personality and growth of children. Third, designs of children’s furniture were reviewed by grafting functional and efficient aspects and concepts necessary for children’s furniture through education, play and developmental behaviors. First of all, products were composed considering the space and the concepts of the products in terms of function, shape, color and material and various applications were reviewed under the given environments. Fourth, this study investigated and analyzed domestic samples through material, shape, color and dimension out of basic elements of design focusing on domestic children’s furniture. Fifth, it presents research directions for the healthy growth of children in their life pattern process according to their psychological and physical changes through analysis of domestic children's furniture brands.
