Abstract
본 논문에서는 본 연구자의 졸업연주회 프로그램인 “F. J. Haydn, Piano Sonata in F Major, Hob. XVI:23”, “F. Chopin, Scherzo No.1 in B minor, Op.20”, “F. Chopin, Ballade No.1 in G minor, Op.23”, “A. N. Scriabin, Piano Sonata No.2 in G# minor, Op.19”을 중심으로 각 작곡가와 작품들의 특징을 알아보았다.
F. J. Haydn(1732-1809)은 고전음악의 기틀을 세우고, 고전주의적 소나타 형식을 확립시킨 오스트리아 출신의 작곡가이다. 하이든의 건반 소나타는 초기, 중기, 후기소나타로 나눌 수 있다. 그의 Piano Sonata in F Major, Hob. XVI:23은 중기소나타에 해당하는 작품이고, 제 1악장은 소나타 형식으로 되어 있으며, 잦은 변주의 사용이 특징이다. 제 2악장은 리듬의 변화는 적지만 조성의 변화가 많이 나타난다. 제 3악장도 소나타 형식으로 되어 있고, 주제가 단순하지만 조성이 자주 변하며, 프레이즈마다 아티큘레이션의 변화를 준 것이 특징이다.
F. Chopin(1810-1849)은 낭만 시대에서 피아노를 가장 대표적인 악기로 부각시키는데 결정적인 역할을 한 피아니스트이자 작곡가이다. 쇼팽은 베토벤(L. V. Beethoven, 1770-1827)이 소나타와 교향곡의 3악장에서 사용한 Scherzo를 독립적인 작품으로 발전시켰다. 그의 Scherzo No.1 in B minor, Op.20은 A-B-A'-Coda로 이루어진 Trio를 중간에 둔 3부형식이고, 넓은 음역과 악상의 대조가 많이 나타난다.
F. Chopin(1810-1849)은 Ballade를 기악곡에서는 처음으로 피아노 독주곡에서 사용하였다. 새로운 형식과 내용이 창조된 독창적인 작품이고, 소나타 형식을 기본바탕으로 두고 변형, 발전시켰다. Ballade No.1 in G minor, Op.23은 서주부와 코다가 있는 소나타 형식이지만 기존의 소나타 형식과는 다르게 제 1주제와 제 2주제의 조성관계가 서로 관계조를 이루고 있지 않고, 한 개의 주제가 연속적으로 변형되고 전조되어 발전해 나가는 특징이 있다.
A. N. Scriabin(1872-1915)은 19세기 말과 20세기 초에 활동한 러시아 작곡가이다. 그의 초기소나타인 Piano Sonata No.2 in G# minor, Op.19 는 판타지(Fantasy)라는 부제가 붙어있고 2악장으로 구성되어 있다. 제 1악장은 소나타 형식이고, 각 주제 간의 뚜렷한 조성변화와 복잡한 리듬형태가 나타난다. 제 2악장은 Coda를 포함한 3부 형식이다. 셋잇단음표가 연속적으로 오른손과 왼손성부에서 번갈아가며 진행되고 있고, 오스티나토 반주형태가 나타나는 것이 특징이다.| This dissertation mainly studies the characteristics of the works and composers of the researcher’s graduation concert program, “F. J. Haydn Piano Sonata in F Major, Hob. XVI:23”, “F. Chopin Scherzo No. 1 in B minor, Op. 20”, “F. Chopin Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23”, and “A. N. Scriabin Piano Sonata No. 2 in G# minor, Op. 19”.
F. J. Haydn(1732-1809) is an Austrian composer who set the foundations for classical music and established the classical Sonata form. Haydn’s keyboard sonata can be divided into early, middle and late periods. Haydn’s Piano Sonata in F Major, Hob. XVI: 23 was composed in his middle period. The first movement is in sonata form embellished by frequent variations. The second movement features various tonal changes. The third movement is also in sonata form with a simple theme but the it presents frequent tonal changes, and articulation changes at every phrase.
F. Chopin(1810-1849) is a pianist and composer who played a crucial role in highlighting the piano as the most representative musical instrument in the Romantic era. Chopin developed Scherzo as an independent work which was the specific form L. V. Beethoven(1770-1827) used in the third movement of Sonata and Symphony, His Scherzo No. 1 in B minor, Op. 20 is in a 3 part form of ABA-coda with a Trio section in the middle giving contrasts between the wide musical range and the theme.
F. Chopin(1810-1849) used Ballade in piano solo for the first time in instrumental music. It is an original work created with new forms and contents, transformed and developed based on the sonata form. Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23 is a sonata form with the introduction and Coda. However, unlike the existing Sonata form, the tonal relations between the first and second subjects are not related to one another and one subject is continuously transformed, modulated and advanced.
A. N. Scriabin(1872-1915) is a Russian composer who was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Scriabin’s early sonata, Piano Sonata No. 2 in G# minor, Op. 19, is accompanied by a subtitle called “Fantasy” and is composed of two movements. The first movement is a sonata form, with distinct tonal changes and complex rhythmic patterns between the themes. The second movement is a three-part form including a Coda. The triplet alternates between the right and left hand parts in succession and features an ostinato accompaniment.
