집단미술치료가 간호사의 직무스트레스 및 우울에 미치는 효과

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of group art on job stress and depression and improve preventive and coping abilities in nurses. 16 nurses(the experimental group[n=8] and the control group[n=8]) working for a general hospital located in G City were participated in the study. 10 sessions were provided from February 1 to March 4, 2016(60 minutes per session, twice per week). Pretest and posttest for job stress and depression were performed to test the effects of a group art therapy program. Changes were described in the experimental group after the program. Data were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA in the SPSS 16.0 statistical package program. The results of the study were as follows. First, group art therapy was effective to reduce job stress in nurses(F= 30.488, P<.001). For the sub-factors of job stress, job autonomy(F=5.122, P<.05), relationship conflict(F=10.722, P<.01), and inappropriate compensation(F=18.426, P<.01) showed a statistically significant difference in posttest scores compared with pretest scores. Second, group art therapy was effective to decrease depression in nurses(F=3.244, P<.1). Based on the results, group art therapy was effective to decrease job stress and depression. This study is significant in the light of group art therapy as preventive treatment and also useful to manage job stress and depression in hospital nurses.

Keywords: nurse, job stress, depression, group art therapy|본 연구의 목적은 집단미술치료가 간호사의 직무스트레스와 우울에 미치는 효과를 알아보고 향후 간호사의 직무스트레스에 대한 예방 및 대처 능력을 증진코자 진행하게 되었다. 본 연구는 G시 소재 종합병원에 근무하는 16명의 간호사(실험집단:8명, 통제집단:8명)를 대상으로 구성되었으며 2016년 2월 1일부터 3월 4일까지 주 2회 각 60분 10회기를 진행하였다. 집단미술치료 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해 직무스트레스와 우울에 대한 사전·사후 검사를 실시하였으며 실험집단에 진행된 집단미술치료 프로그램 진행 후의 변화 양상을 기술하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 16.0 통계 프로그램으로 반복측정 변량 분석을 실시하였다.

본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단미술치료가 간호사의 직무스트레스를 완화시키는데 효과가 있었다(F= 30.488, P<.001). 직무스트레스 하위영역에서는 직무자율(F=5.122, P<.05), 관계갈등(F=10.722, P<.01), 보상부적절(F=18.426, P<.01) 요인이 사전점수에 비해 사후점수가 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 집단미술치료가 간호사의 우울 감소에 효과가 있었다(F=3.244, P<.1).

이상의 결과에서 알 수 있듯이 집단미술치료가 간호사의 직무스트레스와 우울을 감소시키는데 효과적이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 예방적 치료 차원의 집단미술치료로서 의의를 가지며, 앞으로 병원현장에서 간호사들의 직무스트레스와 우울을 관리하는데 유용하리라 본다.
