가변형 전시구조물 개발에 관한 연구

Abstract

In an era of commercial competition, a wide range of products have been launched and the exhibition industry has been developed as a means to promote the products. For keeping up the pace with the exhibition industry’s growth, related industries, such as booth installation, have been also developed, yet, paradoxically, excessive expenses for producing and installing exhibition booths have become required. This research conducted a development of variable exhibition structures for ensuring competitiveness, based on an analysis of usability and efficiency of exhibition structures employed in the industry. In the process of the research, through an initial study on exhibition industry and exhibition booths, advantages and disadvantages have been analyzed according to the aspects and types of the booths under four categories; degree of design freedom, convenience of installation and dismantling, ease of storage and transportation, and economic feasibility. Then, four conclusive development directions for variable system booths are suggested as follows, after identifying improvement from usability analysis by types. 1. To be composed of vertically and horizontally detachable frames that enable versatile block design. 2. To have a basic frame unit that occupies minimum space when mounted, while having frame structures that are easy to store and transport. 3. To provide various forms of connecting pins that fit into various types of exhibition structures. 4. To standardize structures and sizes of frames and connecting pins, as well as perforating spaces in order to handle the frames effortlessly for installation and dismantling. As a result, exhibition booth development was carried out the basis of the study results. On that account, the result of the exhibition booth structure development revealed; 1) a high degree of design freedom ensued from vertically as well as horizontally detachable frame structures, and 2) convenience of mounting/dismounting, transportation, storage and economic feasibility was ensured due to an ideal combination of detachable frame structure and connecting pins. Consequently, a variable system booth structure has been developed that enhances usability and efficiency. This research can be utilized as preliminary data for future studies of exhibition booth development, and, accordingly, may positively contribute to the exhibition industry.|산업경쟁시대에 발맞춰 다양한 제품이 출시되고 이를 홍보하기 위한 수단으로 전시산업 또한 발전해왔다. 이에 전시산업의 성장세에 맞춰 전시부스 설치 및 파생산업 또한 많은 발전을 하였지만, 다양한 전시상황에 맞춰 부스제작 및 설치에 과다한 비용이 전시와 관련된 많은 비용이 지출되는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 전시 산업에서 사용되고 있는 전시구조물에 대한 사용성 및 효율성 분석을 바탕으로 향후 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있는 가변적 전시구조물 개발을 진행하였다. 연구 진행과정으로는 먼저 전시산업과 전시부스에 대한 고찰을 통해, 전시부스의 유형과 특성을 디자인의 자유도, 설치와 철거의 편리성, 보관 및 운반의 용이성, 경제성 등 4개 항목에 대한 장단점을 분석하여, 유형별로 사용성 분석을 통한 개선점을 도출하여, 가변형 시스템 부스개발의 방향을 4가지로 도출하였다. 첫째, 수평형과 수직형의 분리형 프레임 구조로 다양한 블록연출이 가능하도록 구성, 둘째, 기본 프레임의 적재 시 공간사용을 최소화하여 운송, 보관이 용이할 수 있는 프레임 구조, 셋째, 다양한 형태의 연결핀으로 다양한 형태의 전시구조물 설치 가능, 넷째, 프레임구조와 사이즈, 연결핀의 구조와 사이즈 및 이를 사용할 수 있는 타공 공간의 표준화를 통하여 설치 및 철거가 용이할 수 있는 프레임 구조를 갖추어야 한다는 것이다. 연구된 개발방향을 바탕으로 하여 전시부스개발을 추진하였다. 전시부스 구조물 개발의 결과는 수평형과 수직형의 분리형 프레임 구조로 높은 디자인자유도를 보이며, 기본 분리형 프레임 구조와 연결핀의 결합으로 인하여 상하차, 운송, 보관의 편리성과 경제성을 갖춘 것으로 나타났고, 그 결과 사용성과 효율성이 강화된 가변형 시스템부스 구조물을 개발하였다. 본 연구가 전시산업에 있어 전시부스개발에 관한 연구의 기초자료로 활용되어 전시산업에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.
