The Study on The Representation of Natural Images Seen though the Inner Eyes

This study speculated how nature was represented and what giving an artistic value is in human life. Paintings are originated from representing subjective internal world accumulated through experiences rather than reproducing what is seen. Creative activities of expressing internal world of human beings have meanings in expressing the internal meaning beyond expressing the image of an object, and when emotion is added to daily objects and they are represented into visual images, works of art are newly created. This study analysed how the images of emotional movement to overcome traditional norms were recognized and expressed differently according to time, situations and life styles of the East and the West and connected nature seen through inner eyes with my personal viewpoint to discover the key of paintings. The study examined the intention of creating works of art and artistic characteristics by understanding how artists created a new viewpoint of painting with complex images of creative vitality and dynamics while maintaining the companionship between nature and man. Through such artistic activities, modern people can have opportunities to see the world with heart, rediscover the nature of human beings which has been faded due to material civilization and approach to truth behind the visible appearance including human beings. The process of recognizing and approaching the life in nature was analysed with the flow of history and it was discovered that there are common things in artistic representation of nature. The subject of artistic mind is the same with western ideology, Oriental mysticism, and Taoist's idea in representing the nature as images. Artistic value in nature is harmonized with the energy of the Yin and Yang, and when it is virtuous, it can control nature. When nature in art is virtuous, it can control drawings and paintings. If nature is considered as an instructor of human beings, our true appearance can be discovered. This study was a chance to consider the meaning of life and discovered that the order in objects or nature is the nature of life.
