Related and Selecting Factors of Medical Service Satisfaction of Korean Medicine Hospital for Traffic Accident Inpatients of a Metropolitan City

Objectives: This study is design to provide a set of fundamental data for better hospital management in verifying related factors of medical service satisfaction and selecting factors of Korean medicine hospital of traffic accident inpatients

Methods: Random samples of 10 Korean Medicine hospitals out of 52 locations in a metropolitan city had been selected from Oct. 10th, 2012 to Nov. 10th 2012, making 249 inpatients of traffic accident a subject for analysis. Collected data were analyzed with a series of frequency test, percentage, t-test, variance analysis, regression analysis and correlation analysis in SPSS.

Results: 1. Age, previous experience, and more friendly service contribute significantly to medical service satisfaction and account 20.9%.

2. Total medical service satisfaction makes 4.07±0.80, and 4.13±0.90 for Korean medicine doctor, 4.04±0.73 for service procedure and 4.01±0.85 service properness.

3. Patents tended to take variety, effectiveness and superiority of Korean medical service into consideration, whereas they did not with ‘less fee for service and/or TV or newspaper advertisements.

4. No gender, education level and occupation contribute significantly to service satisfaction level, whereas age does significantly (p=0.004), in which 30-year-old or less contributes the most high as 4.31±.65 and 41-year-old or high the smallest as 3.86±.99.

5. Previous service experience contributes significantly to this level (p=0.018). Previous satisfaction to the service show very significant statistical difference in the satisfaction level(p=0.000).

Conclusion: Customer satisfaction program of Korean medicine hospital for traffic accident inpatients need to be improved and developed to be applied practically.
