하타요가 프로그램이 태권도 선수들의 등속성근기능 및 척추 측만 교정에 미치는 영향

This study conducted a Hatha yoga program according to scoliosis types with middle and high school taekwondo players diagnosed with scoliosis in order to examine the effects of Hatha yoga program on physical fitness, isokinetic muscle function, and scoliosis and provide basic materials for yoga program for taekowndo players. 40 middle and high school taekwondo players residing in G Metropolitan City had the spine examination. The 32-week Hatha yoga program was conducted with 8 scoliosis players with the Cobb's angle > 10°, and physical fitness, isokinetic muscle function, and Cobb's angle were measured before experiment, 16 weeks after experiment, and 32 weeks after experiment. Hypotheses were tested by the nonparametric test, and the following conclusion was drawn. Frist, there was a statistically significant difference in weight and % body fat and back strength, flexibility, endurance, agility, and power, whereas no statistically significant difference was found in maximal oxygen intake. Second, as regards the isokinetic muscle function, both peak torque and peak torque %body weight revealed a significant difference in left and right extensor and flexor. Finally, there was a significant difference in Cobb's angle of scoliosis. Based on the findings, the 32-week Hatha yoga program improved scoliosis and reinforced physical fitness and isokinetic muscle function in middle and high school takwondo players with scoliosis. When further study reduces the overuse of the one side of body and recognizes correct abdominal breathing along with posture correction, it is expected that maximal oxygen intake will obtain better results and taekwondo players will have greater effects on the prevention and treatment of scoliosis.
