데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현특성 및 감성에 미치는 영향

Abstract

최근 급변하고 있는 현대 사회는 다양한 시도와 다원주의적 특성에 의하여 한마디로 규정하기 어려운 복합적인 성격을 보여주고 있다. 또한 사회가 점점 불확정적이고 다변화 되어 감에 따라 문학, 철학, 예술 등의 경계가 모호해지고 융합되어 외부 요소를 적극적으로 차용함으로써, 엉뚱하고 낯선 건축공간을 창출하고자 하는 현상이 짙어지고 있다. 데페이즈망(Depaysement)기법은 현실적 사물들을 대상으로 하여 그 본래의 용도, 기능, 의미를 현실적 문맥에서 일탈시켜 그것이 놓여 질 수 없는 낯선 장소에서 조합시킴으로 초현실적인 환상을 창조해내는 기법이라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 낯설게 하는 기법을 실내공간에 적용하여 실내공간의 다양성과 무의식적으로 느끼는 낯설음을 통해 비일상적인 새로운 공간을 만들어내는 요소로서 적극 도입하고자 한다. 최근 다양한 현대 실내 공간 디자인 중에서도 고유의 아이덴티티와 강한 상징성을 표현하고자 하는 식음공간에서는 고객에게 더욱 다양한 감성 자극을 제공하기 위해 초현실주의적 표현 특성이 부각되는 이유가 되었다. 특히 반복되는 일상에서 벗어나 새로운 경험과 비일상적인 유희적 공간을 원하는 고객에게 있어서 비일상적이고 낯선 자극이 가해지는 데페이즈망의 표현기법은 식음공간에 있어 차별화되고 감성적인 공간으로 표현 되는 수단이 될 수 있다. 그 중 아방가르드(Avant-garde) 미술의 주요 개념인 오브제(Objet)는 새로운 감성 디자인적 공간을 추구하는데 있어 식음공간의 디자인 구성요소로 사용되면서 차별화·개성화된 이미지를 표현하고 독창적 공간을 창출하는데 큰 역할을 한다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 식음공간에서 나타나는 데페이즈망의 다양한 표현특성을 알아보는데 있어, 공간의 오브제적인 측면에 집중하여 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현특성을 재정립하고 분석하고자 하며, 오브제적 표현특성에 따른 감성적 요소와의 관계를 규명하고자 한다. 그리하여 데페이즈망의 비일상적이고 추상적인 표현요소들로 현대 식음공간을 좀 더 차별화하고 개성 있는 공간으로 표현하여 감성디자인 공간으로서 적극 사용하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현특성을 왜곡, 변형, 병치, 중첩, 스케일, 합성, 착시, 모순 8가지의 특성으로 재정립하고, 도출된 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현특성과 오브제의 기능적 요소와 감성적 요소의 분류기준을 통하여 현대 식음공간에서 나타난 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현특성을 분석하였다. 사례분석 결과, 식음공간에서 나타난 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현 특성들은 서로 상호 보완적으로 교차적인 성격을 나타내고 있으며, 단순한 유희차원을 넘어 무의식과 비합리성을 강조하며 공간에서 단순한 유희의 차원을 넘어 복합적인 성격으로 표출됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 식음공간에서 보여 지는 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현 특성들은 오브제의 기능적요소를 충족시키면서 공간에 존재하는 사람들에게 시각적, 심리적인 즐거움을 제공해 주는 감성적인 공간으로 표현하는 수단으로 작용 할 수 있고, 사용자와의 커뮤니케이션을 위하여 독자적인 디자인 어휘로 작용되고 있으며, 실내공간에 풍부한 의미를 전달해 주고 있다. 따라서 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현특성은 식음공간에서 고객의 다양한 욕구 충족을 위한 디자인적 방안으로서 다른 공간에 비하여 효과적으로 사용자의 감성과 공감을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 가능성을 가지고 있다. 이를 토대로 데페이즈망의 오브제적 표현 양상이 식음공간에서 앞으로 어떠한 방향으로 발전 되어질 것인가에 대해 예견해 볼 수 있으리라 본다.|The fast-paced modern society shows complex nature which cannot be defined in a word, due to various attempts and its pluralistic characteristics. Also, the society becomes more uncertain and diversified, so the borders among literature, philosophy and art, become blurred and fused, and borrow external factors actively, resulting in rising phenomenon of creating erratic and strange architectural space. Depaysement is a technique which targets the real objectives, deviates its original purpose, function and meaning form its realistic context, and combine them in an unfamiliar place in which they cannot be placed, to create surreal fantasy. In this paper, this technique, making things strange, will be applied to the interior space and introduced actively as a factor creating the unusual and new space, through the unfamiliarity unconsciously felt and the diversity of interior space. Recently, among diverse modern interior designs, in food and beverage space in which the expression of a unique identity and strong symbolism are strongly required, surrealistic expressional characteristics are magnified to provide a greater variety of emotional stimuli to the customers. Especially, for the customers who want new experiences and unusual playful spaces, escaping from their daily life, the expressional technique of depaysement, can be the means to make a food and beverage space expressed as the differentiated and emotional space. Among them, objet, the important concept of Avant-garde art, is used for design consisting elements, in pursuit of a new emotional design space, and plays a pivotal role in expressing differentiated and individualized images, and creating unique places. Thus, this study, by focusing on the objectified aspect of a space, aim to re-establish and analyze the objectified expressional characteristics of Depaysement, in order to investigate the various expressional characteristics of Depaysement, and also identify the relations with the emotional elements according to the objectified expressional characteristics. In conclusion, it aims to express a food and beverage space by the unusual and abstract expressional characteristics of Depaysement, as the more differentiated and individualized space, so that the space can be actively used for an emotional design space. This study re-establishes the objectified expressional characteristics of depaysement, into 8 characteristics, such as distortion, deformation, juxtaposing, overlapping, scale, composition, illusion and contradiction, and analyzes the objectified expressional characteristics of depaysement, appearing in the modern food and beverage space, thorough the derived objectified expressional characteristics of depaysement and the classification standard for functional and emotional elements of object. As a result of case study, it was found that the objectified expressional characteristics of depaysement, shown in food and beverage space, showed interchanging and complementary characteristics, and emphasized unconsciousness and irrationality, beyond mere pleasure, and then were expressed in complex characteristics, beyond mere pleasure Also, the objectified expressional characteristics of depaysement shown in food and beverage space can act as the means that satisfy the functional elements of objects express the food and beverage space as an emotional space, providing visual and psychological pleasure to the customers in the space act as an independent design language for the communication with users; and also delivers ample meanings to an interior space. Thus, the objectified expressional characteristics of depaysement, is a design plan to satisfy the various needs of the customers in a food and beverage space, and has functionalities which are able to draw emotion and empathy from the customers. Based on this, it can be expected in which direction, the objectified expressional aspect of depaysement will develop in the future.
