- Abstract
- Welding deformation causes critical problems under construction and in use of steel structures by varying the magnitude of the steel structures and deteriorating mechanic strength. Although the Residual stress by welding effect on Buckling Strength, Fatigue Performance, Fracture Mode of steel structures, it can't easy to measure. Accordingly, Although the Residual stress by welding is numerically calculated through the Thermal Elastic-Plastic Analysis using the Finite element analysis, it is unuseful in spite of advances in computer technology when analyzing this in three dimensions.
Therefore, it is common to analyze the Residual stress by welding and the welding deformation interpretation in two dimensions. But, In case of two dimensions, We can't consider restrained effects of three dimensional directions. Consequently, there is different between size and distribution in Thermal Elastic-Plastic Analysis, Welding Residual Stress.
Accordingly, this thesis studied for the Boundary condition, the Welding Process, effects of Residual Stress on the Butt-welding by a thickness type of members in two dimensional Thermal Elastic-Plastic Analysis.
