Abstract

Cluster Analysis of Dental Patient's with Infrequent Clinic Visitation.

Keyword; Dental Hospital, Low using, Patient, Clustering analysis Objectives; Pursuit of healthy life is well under way in our society as socioeconomic conditions change. The increase in the average life span due the improved quality care and wellness programs necessitates comprehensive medical system for all. The objective of the study is to analyze the behavior of the short term, low frequency dental patients to be used for. Material and Methods; We have sampled 35,547 patients; 17,595 males and 17,952 females, from the total of 44,746 patients who have received treatments since the computerization of M dental hospital in Gwangju between May 1, 2005 and May 30, 2009. Using SPSS 12.0, (ⅰ) frequency analysis was performed. (ⅱ) the subjects were divided into 4 groups via k-means clustering with respect to the treatment period, and (ⅲ) a χ² contingency table technique was employed to explore the characteristics and the type of dental care required by the short term patients who visit dental clinic infrequently.

Results : 1. In compliance with person, oneself the case -Was highest from advertisement, among those the use of week field was many(p<0.05). 2. The case in compliance with introduction -From family expect a user most high, among those periodontics field use many(p<0.05). 3.Visit motive (person oneself and introduction) comes relationship without periodontics field using a many(p<0.05).

Conclusion; Dental patient's with infrequent clinic visitation should be need more analytic research on cluster analysis
