회화적으로 재구성된 현대일상의 표현에 관한 연구- 본인 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

This paper has the purpose to propose the characteristics of the contemporaries and the era as a way of seeking the identity of individual as member of the society living in the contemporary era and to confirm the artistic potential and value through theoretic background. The contemporary era where we are living brought us speed and convenience through information technology and social development, but robbed us of the room and leisure to think in daily life.

While daily life reflects the style of life incorporating spiritual activity as well as physical behavior, lack of leisure can cause social damages such as anxiety and chaos etc arising from questionability and uncertainty on human's essential perspective of value as entity of life.

These days, social members including many artists are increasingly drawn to daily life, and such phenomenon may be seen as a course to confirm the identity by raising question on one's identity in contemporary era which is uneasy to define and understanding the surrounding.

The artists of the 20th century proposed in this paper depicted the look of the era in the works through observation on their own environments, and realized values through arts by delivering the aesthetic amusement, sympathy and characteristics of the era to viewers.

The works they present serve as examples which elevated materials of daily life to artistic level, and their various yet unique methods of expression become important basis for the research objective of researchers.

Such expression of the characteristics of the era through daily life may serve as channel through which one can see the identity of the diversified era, and continued research on various expression methods is a course to seek for the meaning of researcher's works and potential of mature artistic activities.
