Abstract

Anti-proliferative effects of Impatiens balsamina L. hot water extracts on human oral squamous cell carcinoma cell lines-KB cell

Objectives: This is the study regarding the effects of Impatiens balsamina L. extract on KB human oral cancer cell lines.

Methods: MTS assay was used to detect whether cytotoxity is involved in Impatiens balsamina L. and Weston blot was used to see if COX-2 is controlled.

Results: Hot-Water extract of Impatiens balsamina L. restrained KB cell depending on density and not restrained COX-2 expression.

Conclusions: Impatiens balsamina L. extract has strongly implied that it is possible for it to be a food through food processing in addition it was expected that isolation and purification test would bring out more various clinical effects.
