- Abstract
- Pyrolysis/gasification technique is the energy conversion technique which produces the industrially useful syngas from various waste resources. But the energy conversion technique is not easy to use the facility applications because the condensed tar in process occurs the corrosion and operation problems. Specially, condensation tar on a process generates a corrosion issue by a failure of a device and a conduit line and some organic acid and difficult occurrence for a driving of equipment and maintenance.
Currently plasma technology has been applying to a variety and a division a new method. Had potential compare with electric discharge methods to be different through application study in various fields during the last ten years formal a gliding arc electric discharge among them is commercial, and is already known that is a favorable method. With representative characteristics, response adjustment is easy, and conversion rate is high, and there is a high merit, and an energy efficiency is developing as eco-friendly new alternatives.
Experiments should be made to study on optimum design of plasma reformer and reduction of tar. Benzene, Naphthalene by representative matter during various tar components, and proceeded study as used gliding arc plasma reactor in order to removal this. The parametric screening studies were carried out according to the changes of steam/carbon ratio, input discharge power, total gas flow rate and initial concentration. The results are as follows was benzene removal efficiency 95% and naphthalene removal efficiency 90%.
