The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of Lee Jea Ma's Sa-sang Constitution(Tae-yangin, So-yangin, Tae-eumin, and So-eumin) and the work performance of salesmen with 180 sales staff of a company which sells a singular consumption item. The information required to diagnose the constitutions of the subjects was obtained through responses to QSCCII(Questionnaire of Sa-sang Constitution Classification II) acknowledged by the Society of Sasang Constitution Medicine of Korean Oriental Medical Society and the data of work performance was provided by the company. As verifying the relationship, this study intended to prove that Lee Jea Ma's Theory was worthy of notice: it would provide individuals with the efficient method to develop the aptitude and find the determined vocations in order to boost the lives and companies with the efficient personnel management to maximize profits.
Generally, people of Yang(positive) character was thought to be suited to sales activities more than those of Eum(negative) character because the they are so out-going, sociable that they are not reluctant to meet people and easy to get on with. Accordingly, the hypothesis was formed that: the sales staff of Tae(much)-yang, if found, would accomplish the goals most successfully and So(little)-yang people would be found in the next position. On the other hand, the group of So-eum would have more difficulties in achieving the goals suffering from the competitive market more than any others.

This study obtained the following results:
First, as for distribution of Sa-sang constitutions, Tae-eumin formed largest percentage (45.9%) and there was no Tae-yangin(0.0%) This general.
Second, as for distribution of blood types by constitution, the percentage of Type A was highest in Tae-eumin and So-eumin constitution, and Type B in So-yangin. Therefore, this result showed blood types hardly have influence on diagnosis of the constitutions.
Third, as for the physical factors. there was insignificant difference in the height but distinct difference in the weight: as known, Tae-eumin was the biggest constitution.
Last, even though assuming that there was a disparity in work performance, this study must conclude the character of the types diagnosed by Lee Jea Ma's Sa-sang Constitution Medicine hardly excercise the influence over work performance.
Consequently, the further studies are suggested to supplement this study as follows.
First, as it was limited to the field of sales, a study should be of very wide range to obtain comprehensive results.
Second, sometime it is too ambiguous to diagnose the types only through QSCCII(Questionnaire of Sa-sang Constitution Classification II). More methods to improve efficiency and accuracy in the classification should be developed and applied to follow-up studies.
Third, of 185 respondents, there was none found to be Taeyang-in and solely one gender, male and therefore, a follow-up is required to involve all the types and genders.
