Abstract
A series of group 4 metal complexes with p,s-type bonding interaction of the formula [{R(h5-C2B9H9)(CH2)(h1-NMe2)}M(NMe2)2] (R = CH2NMe2, M = Ti 7, Zr 8; R = PPh2, M = Ti 9, Zr 10), was produced by the reaction of group 4 metal amides (M(NMe2)4; M = Ti, Zr) with the multi-functionalized dicarbollyl ligands, nido-7,8-C2B9H10-7,8-[(m-H)NMe2(CH2)]2 (3) and nido-7,8-C2B9H10-[(m-H)PPh2NMe2CH2] (6), respectively.
