호남지역 지적장애 여학생의 성폭력 현황과 관련 변인 연구

Abstract

우리사회에서 장애인의 인권이 아직도 보장되지 못하고 있기 때문에, 지적장애인의 경우 성폭력에 노출될 위험이 더욱 많다. 지적장애인에 대한 성폭력 실태는 신체적, 정신적 장애로 항거할 수 없거나 신고가 용이하지 않고, 경제적 이유 또는 사회의 부정적 인식 등으로 인해 별다른 대응력을 갖지 못하고 있어 한층 더 심각한 양상을 띠고 있다. 최근에 일어난 몇몇 사건 등을 통해 지적장애인의 성폭력 문제가 매우 심각한 수준임을 알 수 있다. 경기도 지역에서 일어난 성폭력 사건으로 친정 부모의 묵인하에 17세 때 농장에 오게 되어 10여 년 동안 지속된 성폭력 사건(여성장애인성폭력 상담소, 2003)이다. 한국성폭력상담소의 2005년 성폭력 상담통계 건수들 중 53%가 지적장애인이라는 점에서 극명하게 드러나고 있다.|The majority of cases were referred by agency personnel, not parents, through telephone to H center. About half of the cases were children under age 13; most of the students were from the families in low socioeconomic status. The sexual violence occurred at a variety of places, including the victim's home as well as harmer's. Fifteen cases were accused to the court; ten were imprisoned. Age and residence, respectively, were significantly associated with type of sexual violence. Female students under age 13 were more likely to be indecently assaulted than those ages 13 to 18, while the latter were more likely to be raped than those under age 13. Female students registered as intellectually disabled were more likely to be indecently assaulted than those not registered as such, while the latter were more likely to be raped than the former.
