- Abstract
- There is no reason to doubt that material civilization by the Industrial Revolution contributed to make human lives convenient and improve welfare. However, due to the materialism, people got to consider materials important, devalue nature, and have selfish attitude to see everything through their own interests. As a result, human society have paid no attention to nature.
However, I think nature is the habitat for humanity, and human beings are a part of nature. Therefore, as a contemporary artist, I want to show the importance of nature, which has the power of making human beings feel pure, by my own expression methods based on the essential naturalism of Western scholars. As a result, nature is the theme of my artworks and an object of my representation.
Especially among natural materials, plants, which have linear features and lively coloring, have become an object of my deep aesthetic consciousness. I will sublimate the value of plants into that of art by using plants as an objet within my artistic world. And, I will reinterpret nature that is always changing, and let human beings know importance of nature that is continuously making a deep impression on human beings, through my artworks.
I will explain the process of my artistic creation by reconfiguring nature images that have influenced on my spirit and mind in the aspects of contemporary paintings as well as in the basis of Naturalism. I want to research the original artistic possibilities of nature by showing harmony of lives that completes an object through organic connection, and by using advantages of plants materials and making up for the week points of them with interesting painting methods
Consequently, I will discuss and analyze the characteristics of my artworks that use nature images as an objet, and according to those discussion and analyses, I will present the directions of establishing my original world of creation.
