페놀 용액을 이용한 멜라닌의 발색단 분해

Abstract
Melanin is known to play a positive role on inhibition of skin cancer by UV irradiation. At the same time, it can negatively contribute to either a skin aging or formation of freckle. In this study, we focus on how to eliminate the latter effects. To do this, hydrogen peroxide, and phenol mixture solution were prepared, and then dropped into melatonin which is a precursor of the melanin. When tracing possible chemical reactions by using UV/vis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopies, it was found that indole part of melatonin was opened. Additionally, phenol worked as a inhibitor that inhibits to produce of product by hydrogen peroxide broken melatonin.
