Abstract
This study is descriptive research that confirms the effects of Saeteomin's resilience adaptation and job consciousness on self efficacy and job satisfaction and that confirms the effects of population demographic traits on resilience adaptation, job consciousness, self efficacy and job satisfaction.
The duration for investigation took place from April 5th 2008 to June 4th 2008 and 289 Saeteomins who lived in suburban region of Seoul city participated in investigation and data analysis only contains sincere answers which are 289 questionnaires.
Structured questionnaires were used for the survey in which contains 57 questions in subtotal, consisting of 7 questions on general traits, 22 on resilience adaptation, 18 on job consciousness, 5 on self efficacy, 5 on job satisfaction. The tool used in this study investigates validity and reliability.
The measurement of resilience adaptation was used for the survey in which contains 20 out of 42 questions of Kim (2006) modifying Hutton (2003) developed for Saeteomin in subtotal. The factors are strength, social support and religious tendency. The measurement of job consciousness was used for the survey in which contains 18 out of 45 questions of Kim (2006) in subtotal. The factors are value, attitude, custom and opinion.
The measurement of self efficacy was used for the survey in which contains 5 out of 13 questions of Kim (2006) in subtotal.
The measurement of job satisfaction was used for the survey in which contains 5 out of 20 questions of Kim (2006) in subtotal.
All data collected from surveys were processed by SPSS 14.0. To set the variables of demographics, the author had done frequency test and the author also had reliability test to find the reliability of each variable. Factor analysis was also done to test the validity of each variable. Also, AMOS 6.0 program is used to analyze the effects on control hypothesis test and population demographic traits.
The results of this research are following.
1. The strength, social support and religious tendency which are the resilience of the Saeteomin have significant effect on the self efficacy. The attitude, convention and opinion which are the job consciousness of Saeteomin also have the significant effect on the self efficacy. The strength, social support and religious tendency which are the resilience of the Saeteomin does not have significant effect on the job satisfaction. The value which is the job consciousness of Saeteomin has the significant effect on the job satisfaction.
2. The strength and social support which are the resilience of the Saeteomin have significant effect on the self efficacy for female. The attitude and opinion which are the job consciousness of Saeteomin have the significant differences on the self efficacy for male.
3. The stregth, religious tendency and social support which are the resilience of the Saeteomin does not have significant differency depending on gender. The value which is the job consciousness of Saeteomin have the significant differences on the self efficacy depending on gender.
4. The stregth which is the resilience of the Saeteomin has significant effect on the self efficacy for married Saeteomin, and the social support has significant effect on both married and singles. The religious tendency has significant effect on singles.
5. The attitude, convention and opinion which are the job consciousness of Saeteomin have the significant differences in marital status. The attitude has significant effect on both married and single. The convention and opinion have significant effect on single and married couple respectively.
6. The attitude, value and convention have differences on marital status. The value and attitude has differences on married. The value has significant effect on self efficacy and attitude has significant differences on married on and convention has significant effect on self efficacy of single.
7. Depending on income of Saeteomin, strength has significant effect on self efficacy for those who are able to earn over a million won and social support has significant effect on self efficacy for those who are able to earn over a million won.
8. Depending on income of Saeteomin, the attitude and convention have significant effect on self efficacy for those who are able to earn over a million won and opinion has significant effect on self efficacy for those who are able to earn over a million won.
9. Depending on income of Saeteomin, value and convention have differences on income and job satisfaction. The value and convention have significant effect on self efficacy for those who are able to earn less a million won. Depending on the age of Saeteomin, strength and social support have effect on self efficacy for those who are over 30 and less than 29. The religious tendency has effect on for those who are less than 29.
10. Depending on the age of Saeteomin, attitude and convention have effect on self efficacy for those who are less than 29. The opinion has effect on self efficacy for those who are over 30. The strength, social support and religious have no significant effect on job satisfaction depending on age. The attitude and value have differences on self efficacy for those who are over 30.
In conclusion, the higher resilience of adaptation of Saeteomin, the more positive self efficacy they have. The higher job consciousness they have, the higher job satisfaction they have. Since the population statistical traits are proven to be the variables to control the resilience of adaptation and job consciousness, government, private organization and other organization should have plans or programs to increase the resilience of adaptation and job consciousness of Saeteomin and to induce to have positive attitude of job consciousness.
