영화속에 나타나는 서사적 공간 연출 분석

Abstract

This research understands space that appear within SF movie by narrative composition and deduce special quality of space that is embodied to SF movie according to narrative elements. And after grasping narrative meaning that is filled to space, this research wish to analyze how these meaning is expressed within SF movie. Movie space can communicate time and expression of space much more directly than other work of arts and is medium that can heighten experience sensitivity using various movie space elements. SF movie can express time and space directly and is movie genre that convey image which is expected that SF movie appears in the future by strong sight effect. The reason why we analysis the space organization of SF movie and its representation ways is that the frame of movie is a narrative structure. With this narrative structure, we can pass story more to audiences. Hereupon, this study draws analysis frame of SF space through narration theory and grasp meaning of space with draw analysis frame and try to search a way that narrative meaning is expressed to space. Select SF movie three that release the relative the latest for this and choose significant scene using narration analysis machine and analyze space production method for scene composition. Result of this study can be summarized by greatly two. First, this research uses the three components structuralism narration theory of Mike Bal. Through this narration theory, I could search possibility of awareness frame that can explain a meaning of the SF Movie space. Second, after analyzing SF movie of three with narration theory, I could submit a few space production strategies. This conclusion presents following registration point. Analysing narration structure and space production strategy shown to SF movie space through narration theory can become the alternative of methodology for future space design. To produce forward-looking space successfully, we must be able to grasp meaning of space on the basis of before formality of referring to narrative space interpretation in stream of space design that alter at the fast speed. And we have be to able to see how is producing this meaning in space. Now, production of lead space design may be consisted of comprehension of strong narration succor and creative space production. This research can be able to understand space production systematically and hereafter, I wish that this research will become a small standard imagining a direction of the future space design.|본 논문은 SF영화 속에 나타나는 공간을 서사적 구성으로 이해하고 SF영화에 구현된 공간의 특성을 서사적 요소에 따라 도출하고 공간에 담긴 서사적 의미를 파악한 후 이러한 의미가 SF 영화 속에 어떻게 표현되고 있는지에 대해 분석하고자 한다.

영화공간은 다른 예술 작품보다 시간과 공간의 표현을 훨씬 더 직접적으로 전달할 수 있으며 다양한 공간구성요소를 이용하여 체험 감도를 높일 수 있는 매체이다. SF영화는 시간과 공간을 직접적으로 표현할 수 있으면서 미래에 나타날 것으로 예상되는 이미지를 강한 시각효과로 전달하는 영화장르이다.

SF영화의 공간구성과 표현방식을 서사적 틀을 가지고 분석하는 것이 의미를 가지는 이유는 영화의 뼈대는 서사적 구조이며 이를 통해 관객들에게 스토리를 더 잘 전달할 수 있기 때문이다.

이에 본 연구는 서사이론을 통해 SF공간의 분석틀을 도출하고 도출된 분석틀을 가지고 공간의 의미를 파악하고 서사적 의미가 공간에 표현되는 방식을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 비교적 최근에 개봉된 SF영화 세 편을 선정하고 서사분석 틀을 사용해 의미 있는 장면을 선정하고 장면 구성을 위한 공간 연출 방법을 분석하였다.

본 연구의 결과는 크게 두 가지로 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 본 연구에서는 서사적 구성요소를 미케 발의 삼원론적 구조주의 서사이론을 통해 SF 영화공간의 의미를 설명할 수 있는 인식 틀의 가능성을 탐색할 수 있었다. 둘째, 서사이론을 바탕으로 세 편의 SF영화를 분석하여 공간 연출 전략을 제시할 수 있었다.

이러한 결론은 다음과 같은 시사점을 제시한다. 서사이론을 통한 SF영화공간에 나타난 서사구조와 공간 연출 전략 분석은 미래의 공간디자인을 위한 방법론의 대안이 될 수 있다는 것이다. 성공적으로 미래지향적인 공간을 연출하기 위해서는, 빠른 속도로 변화하는 공간 디자인의 흐름 속에서 앞서 열거한 서사적 공간분석의 틀을 토대로 하여 공간의 의미를 파악할 수 있어야 하며 파악된 의미를 어떻게 공간속에 연출하고 있는지를 볼 수 있어야한다. 이제 선도하는 공간 디자인의 연출은 탄탄한 서사구조의 이해와 창의적인 공간 연출이 있을 때 가능할 것이다. 본 연구가 공간 연출에 대한 체계적인 이해를 가능하게 하고 앞으로 미래 사회 구현되어질 공간디자인의 방향성을 상상하는데 작은 기준을 제시할 수 있기를 바란다.
