상악에 식립된 Endopore 임플란트의 후향적 연구

Abstract

The replacement of missing teeth is often complicated by minimal remaining alveolar ridge bone height. Successful management with dental implants of traditional(primarily threaded) designs requires that there be sufficient bone height to receive implants that are at least 13 mm long. A dental implant covered partially with a sintered porous coating (Endopore) developed at the University of Toronto was tested. This implant is a tapered, truncaed-cone endosseous root-form implant fabricated from Ti-6Al-4V. It utilizes a powder-sintered porous surface geometry over most of its length to promote three-dimensional bone ingrowth and implant stabilization. This study is an analysis of distribution of patient who installed Endopore at maxilla in Chosun University Dental hospital and types of implant for about 4 years recall check and cumulative survival rate. Between October 2001 and October 2006, a total of 54 Endopore implants were inserted in 30 patients. Study center was located at the Chosun University Dental hospital, Korea: The Department of Periodontics. The patient's chart and radiographic view were used on this investigation. The criteria for survival rate of implant used to determine implant status included: 1. Absence of persistents subjective complaints, such as pain, foreign body sensation. And/or dysesthesia. 2. Absence of a recurrent peri-implant infection with suppuration. 3. Absence of mobility. 4. Absence of a continuous radiolucency around the implant. The result were as followed: 1. The survival rate of Endopore implanted in maxilla s was 96.2%. 2. Posterior area was accounted for 96.3% of the whole implant surgery. 3. The mean follow up period was 49.9 months and the longest follow up period was 69 months 4. The majority of implants were those of 7 and 9 mm in length with regular diameter. These results suggest that the sintered porous dental implant (Endopore system) is useful in maxilla.
