- Abstract
- Purpose : The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of low-level laser therapy(LLLT) on the attachment, proliferation, differentiation by human osteoblast-like cells in implantation on dog mandible
Material and Method : Three adult mongrel dogs ,weight about 10~13kg, were used. Exposure strength of low-level laser was 904nm wave length, 0.3W out power. The lower 1,2,3 premolar were extracted and screw-type implant fixation after 8weeks. Then low-level laser was exposured during post implantation 1days during 2weeks. The dogs are sacrificed after 1weeks after exposure on low-level laser, for given a cell proliferation period.
Result : There was highly showed cell proliferation and cell attachment in experimental group and there was no significant difference between control group and experimental group at new bone formation ratio at implantation area after 2weeks.
Colclusion : In Vitro low-level laser therapy can modulate the activity of cells and tissues surrounding implant material.
