광주 전남지방에 거주하는 백반증 환자 714예에 대한 임상적 고찰

Abstract

Background : Vitiligo is a relatively common depigmentary disorder occurring in approximately 1-2% of the general population. It is often familial and is characterized by pale white macules that enlarge centrifugally over time. The pathogenesis of vitiligo is unknown, but genetic, biochemical and immunological hypothesis are proposed. Objective : Our purpose is to evaluate the clinical features of vitiligo and to compare our results with previous studies. Method : We evaluate clinical features of 714 Korean vitiligo patients who lived in the Gwangju chonnam province(315 males and 399 females). Results and Conclusions : 1. The mean age of the first visit was 29.6± 21 years(male : 30.6 female : 27.3). 2. The mean age of onset was 24.6± 20 years(male : 24.8, female : 22.3). 3. The most common interval between onset and visiting was within 0.5-1 year. 4. The order of frequency in clinical types of vitiligo was vulgaris type(39.8%), focal type(31.4%), segmental type(14.1%) and acrofacial type(8.9%). 5. The most common site of initial involvement was the face(37.7%). 6. Precipitating factors, such as trauma (9.2%), stress(8.1%), pregnancy(2.4%), were found in 21.8% of 542 vitilgo patients. 7. The prevalence of poliosis was 21.4% of 238 vitiligo patients, and the scalp(60.8%) was the most common site of poliosis. 8. Family history was found in 7.8% of patients, and the associated diseases were found in 13.6% of patients.
