Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and describe the language of the internet communication, which is related to the notational characteristic, and phonological, and semantic respect. Investigating the communication language of the Chinese Koreans, I'll connect it with the research result of the communication language of Korea. The Chinese Koreans began to practice the internet-related work in 1994, and now they are equipped with the conditions that the communication language can exist. Therefore, as they can speak both Korean and Chinese, it is possible to study the communication language, which is communicated in Korean. As the notational characteristics, the notations by sound, form and sentence mark were investigated. As a result, the study result showed that the notational method of Chinese was simpler than that of Korean in communication language. In phonological respect, I investigated deletion, reduction, addition, assimilation, and tensification. and Duim Law. There were no /p/, /th/, and /k-h/ insertions, which arise in the final syllable position in the Korean communication. And there was no /n/ insertion, which changes ending /-nik'a/ into [-nink'a] and [-nink'an]. Glide /j/ addition exists, but [je] phenomenon, which is added to /e/ does not exist. And sometimes the use of vocabularies by deletion was found, but it was not productive. There also exist overapplied lenis. In semantic respect, there were polyseme and compositionality. But Inter-language productivity in meaning was very productive, but Korean was not. The significance of this thesis is that it tries to study the communication language of the people who live abroad. This thesis is organized as follows: In Chapter 1, I provide introductory remark about this thesis. In Chapter 2, I'll describe the concept and the characteristic of the communication language. In Chapter 3, I'll reveal the language of the internet communication, which is related to the notational characteristic, and phonological, and semantic respect. Investigating the communication language of the Chinese Koreans, I'll connect it with the research result of the communication language of Korea. Chapter 4 is a concluding summary of this thesis.
