Abstract
BaTiO₃ complex was composed by using the planetary ball mill method with a mixed powder of BaO₂ and TiO₂(anatase). For the sample milled for 90 min, milling of the BaO₂and TiO₂ mixtures induced the formation of the fairly crystalline BaTiO₃ phase, and the crystalline phase comformed with an amorphous phase. The BaTiO₃ single phase can be formed in the mixture of milled powder for 300 min or more. The phase of BaTiO₃ in the mixture improves in crystallinity as the milling times increase. The particles of the mixtured powder are condensed up to the milling time of 90 min. and BaTiO₃ crystal is formed after the milling time of 150 min. The process of uniformity of the BaTiO₃ cystal is observed after milling for 300 min.
The crystal of BaTiO₃ was formed by thermal annealing of the composites, which was milled for 90 min. and 150 min, and annealed for 30 min. at the temperature of 800℃. For the composites milled for 300 min, BaTiO₃ crystal was formed by thermal annealing for 60 min. at the temperature of 600℃.
