태권도 태극품새에 내재된 미적요소에 관한 연구

Abstract
Since existing researches on aesthetics of Taekwondo have dealt with it in narrow dimension not to reveal logical theory of it, theory of "aesthetics of Taekwondo posture' is not established. Therefore this study applies Taeguk posture of Taekwondo to formal beauty and aesthetic range of physical exercise by Ho So-Myung(1991) in order to establish aesthetic factors of Taeguk Posture immanent in Taekwondo. As a result of this study, it obtains the following conclusions.
Taekwondo postures have freedom in the order of prescribed framework and living movements. These Taeguk postures show harmony and polished beauty depending on the degree of skilled techniques through repeated training and symbolize the active beauty Taekwondo pursues.
In addition, Taekwondo postures give the beauty of unification from harmonious motions in uniform according to coach's order through repeated training.
Acts 1∼8 of Taeguk postures are composed of simple motions rather than complex ones with combination of basic motions of Taekwondo, show good harmony of all motions and rhythm of motions by adjustment of speed and strength and express symmetrical beauty of the body during the performance of Taekwondo postures. Composition of motions based on the Taeguk postures from act 1 to 8 (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?) back and forth or left and right makes us feel symmetrical beauty.
In addition, Taeguk postures are produced by free and soft motions and hitting with fist and blowing target in Act 5 of Taeguk, kicking, back bending posture and forward bending posture in Act 7 of Taekguk which are shown in appearance by S type and waveform type shows the beauty of curve to audience.
Taeguk postures show the beauty of gradation from low-level technique to high-level one and the aesthetic snese by the harmony of these motions enhances the value of Taekwondo training.
As all single motions are performed serially and variously and they are mae one posture during training of Taeguk postures, the beauty of diversity and unity is produced.
