니트・크로세 기법을 이용한 섬유조형 연구

Abstract

Current social development has brought a new concept to knit and crochet. Out of its functional limit that it is used only for living goods, it starts to being used as a means to produce artistic works and then fiber art that pursues pure art appears. Knit and crochet which uses hands directly have advantages that they are able to be made by simple tools, not by machines. And as it has a technical quality that artistic forms can be created with only basic skill of knitting, it provide a possibility for production of fiber art. This study transforms various motifs made of different materials that can be used for knit and crochet according to artistic principles, and selects cobweb and mushrooms as motifs to pursue unique artistic world focusing on their artistic forms. And it introduces the techniques, focusing on the harmony with other materials, to develop the area of fiber art. As a theoretical background of this study, this study uses bibliographical and photographical data on cobweb and mushrooms. And it studies knit crochet through bibliographical speculation on knit crochet and abstracts images from cobweb and mushrooms to make 8 models using basic skills. This study obtains the following results: In national studies, the concept of crochet is included in knit. However, the compositional principle of weaving is the same as knit, but this study finds that such qualities as instruments, methods and representative skills are different from those of knit through bibliographical speculation. Knit and crochet are appropriate to express unique and rich texture sisal and linen have and can express various textures according to techniques used even though the same materials are used. Discovery of new beauty in nature has different meanings according to how much we are interested in nature, and results are different. This study finds new artistic beauty cobweb and mushrooms have from a number of natural things, selects sisal as a main material that is well harmonized with natural things and dyes the main material to produce a fiber artistic model by a skill of knit crochet. This study uses knit crochet that has an advantage to represent various textures and forms only with simple knitting and selects mushrooms and cobweb as motifs, which will contribute to expansion of its role and area in fiber modeling. And it is hoped that knit and crochet is recognized as a fiber art through making fiber models with artistic and unique texture out of a simple handcraft area.
