- This thesis is written to apply for a master's degree and seeks to discuss the theoretical background of my intentions I tried to depict in the works produced since the year of 2001. Furthermore, printmaking techniques, the symbolic meanings of formative images, their formulations and printmaking processes are dealt with.
My works tried to describe the anxiety of modern people who have no choice but to go through alienation due to paranoia, psychological pressure, stress, etc. All this mental trouble comes from regulations, rules and other absolute beings that humans have to endure irrespective of their volition, while they exist in the whirlwind of modern material and mechanical civilization which have made great advances.
The transformed images of flowers and plants are intended to reflect the mental state of modern humanity. The absolute beings expressed in regular columns and the partition of the canvass into strength and weakness try to depict agonizing modern people.
In addition, the presentation of 14 photos of my works and illustrations will help explain the expressions so that readers may appreciate my intentions in a more concrete manner.
